In online RPGs, one of the best ways to reduce the burden of daily homework is to manage only the tasks you actually need instead of trying to clear everything. That cuts down on unnecessary playtime, and if you’re raising multiple characters, it also makes it much easier to see what you’ve finished and what you still have left.

I took a short break from my Picker activities after Nexon Picker Season 1 ended. Then, when Season 2 began, I finally came back after a long gap.

Even during that break, I was still playing Nexon games. In particular, in MapleStory, I raised the new class Lete on the Challengers server and even placed 28,679th in Challenger rankings!

That said, the longer I played Maple, the more I noticed that every time I went through a challenge server, I ended up with one or two more alts. More weekly boss income does mean I can invest more into my main, which is a nice advantage, but it also increases the amount of content I need to keep up with, and that made the daily grind feel a lot heavier.

Thankfully, MapleStory has a system called the Scheduler. Added in June 2024, it lets you organize daily content, weekly content, and boss content separately for each character. Here’s how you can use it to streamline your homework.

1. How to Use the Scheduler

First, you can find the Scheduler at the very top of the Adventure section in the menu.

If you want to use it more comfortably, I recommend assigning the Scheduler to a key of your choice in the key settings. I put mine on F1.

1. Main Character Scheduler Setup

First, let’s set up the most important one: the Scheduler for your main Maple character. Click the gear icon next to daily content.

Check Monster Park. As a quick tip, Monster Park gives you 2 free entries per server. That means you can run it twice on the challenge server and twice on the main server, which is a pretty sweet deal.

Next, under daily quests, check every quest tied to symbols you haven’t finished yet. I had already finished my Arcane Symbols, so I turned those off and only left the Authentic Symbol ones checked.

If you press Start All, every quest is accepted with a single click. Once you finish them, you can press Complete All to turn everything in at once. For Monster Park, pressing the arrow sends you straight to the Monster Park map automatically. Very convenient, right?

Weekly content is a little more complicated. First, there are 3 Epic Dungeons in total, available at levels 260, 270, and 280, and you can only do them once per server. Since this is your main, just check the highest Epic Dungeon available. Right now, that’s the level 280 Nightmare Scenic Realm.

The Arcane Symbol quests below, such as Erda Spectrum, don’t need to be checked if you’ve already finished upgrading those symbols.

Then scroll down and check Mu Lung Dojo. Most guilds recommend doing it. Flag Race may be something you need to do in some cases, but my guild treats it as optional, so I turned it off.

Reward for Sincere Investigation is a mission that gives 3 untradeable Core Gemstones for clearing Vanishing Journey daily quests twice. It’s not a bad reward, but I don’t want to do Vanishing Journey dailies just to make 240,000 mesos, so I leave it unchecked.

I do check Weekly Dragon Hunting and Want to Challenge Extreme Monster Parker?. These are weekly contents that reward Union Coins and EXP, respectively.

Weekly content only has to be done once a week. Just clear your Epic Dungeon and run Mu Lung Dojo, and you’re done. Dragon Hunting is worth doing if you want Union Coins, and Extreme Monster Park completes on its own as long as you run Monster Park twice a day, so all you need to do is claim the reward.

Lastly, boss content. Daily bosses aren’t very worthwhile, so I leave them out, and for weekly bosses, you should check them based on your character’s strength.

I can solo up to Extreme Suu, so I checked 12 bosses at that difficulty and below. In the current version of MapleStory, you can sell up to 12 weekly boss crystals per character.

And don’t forget the monthly boss, Black Mage. It’s also handy to check Boss Elimination Mileage Claim so you can collect your Mileage more easily.

1. Alt Scheduler Setup on a Different Server

This is the Scheduler setup for my alt on the Challengers server. Since it’s on a different server, I included Monster Park because the 2 free entries are separate there, and for daily quests I only checked the Authentic Symbol areas.

For weekly content, I only checked these three: Angler Company, Mu Lung Dojo, and Extreme Monster Park. Nice and simple.

I also set the boss content according to the character’s combat power. On the challenge server, there are Season Bosses that don’t count toward the 12 crystal limit, so checking 13 bosses makes it easier to keep track.

1. Alt Scheduler Setup on the Same Server

If it’s an alt on the same server, the setup is very simple. Since the free Monster Park entries are already used up on that server, I skip it, and symbol quests are enough of a hassle that I don’t bother checking those either.

For weekly content, I leave High Mountain checked since that’s the only one left, and because I still need to receive Noble Skills, I also check Mu Lung Dojo. After that, I just check boss content based on the character’s combat power.

So that’s how I use the MapleStory Scheduler on a character-by-character basis to reduce the burden of daily homework.

Just because you’re raising multiple characters doesn’t mean you need to keep up with every piece of content. The key is to manage your main around the daily and weekly content that actually helps it grow, while keeping only clearly rewarding tasks on your alts, such as Epic Dungeons and weekly bosses.

I also kept picking up more alts as I went through the Challengers server, but after setting up the Scheduler separately for each character, it became much easier to check what I had done and what was still left.
