[PEAK Challenge] A special artist I discovered in the K-pop game Mabinogi Mobile

When you're in the middle of a game and suddenly hear a familiar voice,

it just hits you with that weirdly happy, surprised feeling!

Mabinogi Mobile had some really special songs made with K-POP artists too,

and what stood out most to me was that it wasn't just a case of them showing up in ads or getting collab items added in,

you could actually run into those songs through the game's OST and during real gameplay itself!

🎤 Chuu's song that was there from launch

When you talk about the connection between Mabinogi Mobile and K-POP,

the one name you absolutely can't leave out is Chuu!

With the Mabinogi Mobile GRAND LAUNCHING,

the launch OST "The Old Legend My Grandmother Told Me When I Was Young", sung by Kim Chang Wan and Chuu together, was released.

It also felt really special getting to hear one of Mabinogi's signature songs reintroduced through the voices of Kim Chang Wan and Chuu,

and Chuu's connection with the game didn't stop at the launch OST.

In the Airel raid, you could hear "Lullaby of the Wind" sung by Chuu.

What made it especially fun was the way the song came in!

As you handle the raid mechanics and build up stacks,

once you hit 15 stacks, your character starts performing, and that's when Chuu's song starts playing!

I still remember being focused on the boss fight, then suddenly hearing that familiar voice and thinking,

'Huh? Isn't that Chuu's voice?'

and getting completely caught off guard.

That said, now that players' characters have gotten much stronger,

Airel goes down so fast that there usually aren't many chances to reach 15 stacks anymore, which is a little sad.

Still, since an Extremely Hard difficulty for Airel is planned to be added,

I'm really looking forward to the chance to build up to 15 stacks again there and hear Chuu's song one more time!

🎶Ailee joining in as a player who loves games

Another K-POP collab that really stuck with me was Ailee.

It felt even more special because Ailee is actually a Mabinogi Mobile player herself.

It wasn't just a simple collab between a famous artist and a game,

it felt refreshingly different because it involved a player who already enjoyed the game taking part in it directly!

What I especially liked was the idea of an artist actually playing a game she loves, then meeting that same game again

through K-POP too, and I think that made the collab feel

even more familiar and approachable for players who love games.

For people who already enjoy Mabinogi Mobile, she's a familiar name,

and for people who love K-POP, it also felt like an impressive collab because it could become

another way to discover the game!

💜A K-POP collab remembered through music

Looking back, the Chuu and Ailee collabs each showed

a different way Mabinogi Mobile and K-POP could come together.

Chuu, who had been there since launch, was part of everything from a new OST take

on one of Mabinogi's signature songs to the exclusive OST for the Airel raid,

while Ailee stayed memorable as an even more special collab because she's actually a player who enjoys Mabinogi Mobile!

It didn't stop at simply attaching a famous artist's name to the game,

and what impressed me most was how naturally it connected the game's music with the artist's own story.

Going forward, I hope we get to see all kinds of collabs beyond just new outfits or items,

where the game and K-POP artists can really bring out each other's charm.

Getting to meet an artist you like inside a game you already enjoy,

and then seeing that game in a totally fresh way through an artist you love,

isn't that kind of unexpected crossover exactly the most fun part of K-POP and game collabs~?🎤
