[Peak Challenge] The Beauty of “Long-Term Progression and Titles” That Shines More the More Time You Put Into It

Hello~ I’m Shuviert, an RPG gamer.

It’s been really hot lately.

Please stay safe in this heat..

(Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge)

The appeal of “account progression and titles” that reveals its true value the more time you invest

A game that lets you spend a long time building up your characters and steadily reaching your goals

might be what truly deserves to be called a masterpiece.

Not just a game about leveling up, but one where the long-term progression you carefully build over time directly shapes your character’s strength and individuality—

for me, two representative action MORPGs like that are Elsword and Closers.

1. “Account progression and collection buffs” that shine more the longer you play

Elsword (El Search Party Collection):

This is one of the systems I found most rewarding after spending a long time raising a wide variety of characters.

Once every character on your account reaches a certain point, they can be registered to the collection, and each character’s unique stats—like increased magical/physical attack or cooldown reduction—are applied across the entire account.

Because the time and effort I put in come back as direct account-wide growth, there’s a real satisfaction in steadily expanding your roster.

Closers (Teamwork Buff):

Its structure is similar in that your account-wide stats keep trending upward each time you recruit and raise another agent,

which gives a strong sense of accomplishment to players who stick with the game and steadily build up their progression over time.

2. Proof of true hardcore growth: “Titles”

Common to Elsword & Closers:

You have to run high-difficulty raid dungeons over and over,

and push through a long list of demanding conditions to finally earn them—

these “high-performance core titles,” to me, are the strongest badges long-time players can wear.

There’s the practical appeal of getting a title that significantly boosts your stats, of course, but the feeling of accomplishment that comes from displaying a unique title—clear proof of your effort—above your character’s head is one of the best rewards only truly dedicated players get to feel.

3. The joy of settling in for the long term, 'Guild Hideout or Circle Hideout'

Closers Circle Hideout

When you stay with a game for a long time, another thing that naturally deepens your attachment

is the people and the space around you.

The guild systems that both Elsword and Closers offer—Guild Hideout and Circle Hideout—

end up serving as a kind of refuge for long-time players.

Working with guild members toward long-term goals, chatting and building close bonds,

or collecting different skins to decorate a cozy space just for your group—

that kind of enjoyment creates a deeper sense of immersion and gives you lasting motivation to keep playing, beyond simply repeating combat.

And if you’re part of a guild (circle), you also get guild buffs and guild skills, so it really feels like a nice bonus on top.
