[Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]

Wow, somehow we’re already at Week 8—the final mission of the Nexon PEAK Challenge has been revealed!

A game I’ve played for years, Mabinogi, a game that teaches you life lessons

Mabinogi, a game celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year.

I’m in my 19th year as a Milletian, and next year will be my 20th.

Mabinogi has been around forever, and honestly, I’m a properly seasoned old player too.ㅎㅎㅎ

It really is, literally, #오래플레이했던게임.

Recently, there was a question like this on the survey for recruiting Mabinogi Eternity alpha testers.

“What is your total Mabinogi play period?”

Even if I leave out the times I took breaks, I could confidently click that I’ve been playing for over 15 years.

Once I love something, I tend to keep loving it for a long time.



A game that keeps growing, Mabinogi that never stops moving forward



After releasing Mainstream, the game’s main story, through G1, G2, and G3, things slowed down a little for a while,

and then it threw open the continent of Iria,

and in a world where swordsmen, archers, and mages used to be everything, it added “Alchemy.” Now in Erinn, you can even use guns (...), use ninja skills, fight bare-handed, and even swing a scythe with Astrology.

Of course, anyone who knows Mabinogi already knows this, but there isn’t really a fixed class system either, so you can try all kinds of things whenever you feel like it.(=which also means you won’t get bored before one character turns into a total all-rounder)



The constant events and patches have kept coming, too.

Along the way, there were disagreements between the dev team and the users, and sometimes there was conflict too....

But from the perspective of someone like me, who never chased high-end progression and mostly just fished away in one peaceful rural corner of Erinn, if I step back and look at the bigger picture,

Mabinogi was, no matter what, a game that kept moving forward without stopping.



Why I kept playing: Mabinogi, the all-in-one kind of game



Mabinogi is, kind of unexpectedly, an all-in-one(?) type of game.

Once Mabinogi Eternity opens soon, with even prettier graphics....

I think I’ll be able to keep playing even more happily. Mabinogi!
