As of August 2026, my best game is 'Mabinogi Mobile.' It is the game I am enjoying the most right now, and the one I feel most satisfied with. More than that, it is a game where I am making real-time memories with friends and with people I happened to meet in-game.

What does “the best” mean?

“The best” means what is highest or finest, or what is worthy of being called the finest (Naver Dictionary). Then what does “finest” mean? It is what stands out most among many things, or what ranks first (Standard Korean Language Dictionary). By that definition, among all the games I have played, I would call “the best” the one that stands highest for me—the one I consider most outstanding, the one I would place first. In other words, the game I invest the most time in and enjoy the most is the one I choose as my best.

Why Mabinogi Mobile?

First, because it is easy for beginners to pick up.

The barrier to entry is not high. Even if you do not know much going in, the game’s beginner-friendly systems guide you along, and simply progressing through the basic main story about Erinn is usually enough to build up a decent baseline of combat power. By then, the class you chose starts to make a lot more sense, and other content begins to open up to you as well. You may already have met people you have grown close to, and even if you are still on your own, finding information is much easier than it was when you were completely new. And if you are already good at games, you can grow quickly from the start with a more complete setup. Because the game runs on a seasonal system, it is also a title you can start at any time.

Second, because it is good solo, good as a duo, and good with a group.

There is a saying: being alone is lonely, but being with two is difficult. In Mabinogi Mobile, that simply does not apply. It is fun alone, and it is fun with someone else too. It is the kind of game that lets you honestly say being together makes you happy. After all, healthy relationships usually require people who can also be okay on their own. In that sense, Mabinogi Mobile is a game where you can be happy by yourself or with others. If you are solo, you can make use of the chance encounter system. If you are with others, you can form a party and enjoy the game together.

Third, because it lets you create something that feels like your own.

Characters in Mabinogi Mobile can be expressed in a remarkable variety of ways. Right from the start, there are an enormous number of possible looks for your character, and there is also a fairly wide selection of outfits, including outfits that are updated regularly. Of course, the update pace for normal outfits and elite outfits is quite disappointing, but they are still being added on a regular basis. Even the same outfit can look completely different depending on how you dye it. A game that lets you make something truly your own has real appeal in an era like this, when “what is mine” matters more than ever.

The true value of Mabinogi Mobile reveals itself at the campfire

The combat, the life skills, My Home, and even character customization in Mabinogi Mobile are all enjoyable, but its greatest charm reveals itself when people gather around a campfire, share food, play music together, and talk. When you put aside the weariness and fatigue of real life, play music you love, and chat with people about little everyday things, you naturally find yourself thinking: this is happiness. And if being around others feels stressful, sitting alone by the fire and performing music, or watching my cute pet act adorable in My Home, becomes a restful kind of happiness too. I hope you can also come to understand why this is the game I chose as my best.
