As of August '26, Mabinogi Mobile is the best game for me. It is the game I most enjoy playing right now and the one I find most satisfying. I am also making memories in real time with friends and people I have met in the game.

What does “best” mean?

“Best” means the highest or foremost, or something worthy of that distinction (NAVER Dictionary). What, then, does “foremost” mean? It is the most outstanding among many things, or the one that ranks first (Standard Korean Language Dictionary). By those definitions, the best game is the one I consider the most outstanding—the one that ranks above all the others I have played. For me, that means the game I spend the most time on and enjoy playing the most.

Why Mabinogi Mobile?

First, it is easy for newcomers to pick up.

The barrier to entry is low. Even without much prior knowledge, you can reach a reasonable baseline of combat power just by following the game's helpful guidance and working through the main story about Erinn. By that point, you will understand your chosen class better and start noticing other content to explore. You may have made some friends, too. Even if you are still playing on your own, finding information will be much easier than it was at the start. And if you are already good at games? You can work quickly toward a fully developed character from the outset. Because the game runs on a seasonal basis, any time is a good time to start.

Second, it is enjoyable alone, with a friend, or in a group of three.

Have you heard the saying, “Alone, you are lonely; together, you are miserable”? That does not apply to Mabinogi Mobile. Playing alone is enjoyable, and so is playing together. There is genuine happiness in sharing the experience. To form a healthy relationship with someone, you first need to be comfortable and happy on your own. In that sense, Mabinogi Mobile is a game that allows for both: happiness alone and happiness with others. When playing solo, you can use the chance encounter system; when playing with others, you can form a party and enjoy the game together.

Third, you can create something of your own.

Mabinogi Mobile gives you a wide range of ways to express yourself through your character's appearance. Even during character creation, the number of possible combinations is impressive. There is also a fairly broad selection of clothing, with new outfits added regularly. The pace of updates for regular and elite outfits does leave quite a lot to be desired, though at least those updates keep coming. Even the same outfit can look dramatically different depending on how you dye it. That freedom to create something of your own is a significant draw at a time when having something that feels distinctly “mine” matters so much.

Mabinogi Mobile's true value comes through around the campfire

I enjoy the combat, life skills, My Home, and character customization in Mabinogi Mobile, but the game is at its best when people sit close together around a campfire, sharing food, playing music, and talking. As I put aside the weariness of everyday life, play music I like, and chat with others about little things, I find myself thinking, “This is happiness.” When social interaction feels stressful, I can find a happy, restful break in sitting alone by the fire and playing music, or watching my cute pet show affection in My Home. I hope you, too, will come to understand why this is the game I consider the best.
