I want to share a little about Mabinogi Mobile, a game I have been playing since launch and have grown even fonder of through my attachment to my characters. My main, my alt, and my second alt each have their own place in my heart, so here is how I came to cherish them all.

Regular Main Story Updates

Mabinogi Mobile adds to its main story every 3 or 6 months. Since launch, Advent of the Goddess has taken us from Chapter 1, Goddess 모라인, through Chapter 2, Witch of the Wasteland, Chapter 3, Paladin, Chapter 4, Shadow of the Goddess, and Chapter 5, Light and Darkness. Along the way, we also got Pale Echoes, a side story for Advent of the Goddess Chapter 4 rather than a main story installment. It has been a bit disappointing in some respects, but the main story continues to move forward nonetheless. At first, I thought it would follow the same story as Mabinogi Online, but the changes to the storyline and characters have me looking forward to the next installment. There is also more narrative context for Ruairi's actions, making them more believable.

What Will the Next Outfits Be Like?

Mabinogi Mobile takes fashion seriously, with the Adventurer Pass updating every 42 days and the Fashion Lucky Box following its own update cycle. As I write this, swimsuits are on sale, with the next outfits scheduled to replace them after August 13. Sometimes I find myself thinking that I absolutely have to pull for an outfit, while other times I pass with a disappointed “Oh, is that all?” Still, looking forward to what comes next is certainly part of the enjoyment.

Already Too Attached

To be completely honest, part of what keeps me playing is the feeling that it would be a shame to walk away after putting so much love into my characters. I intend to keep playing for a long time. Perhaps the more I care for them, the more attached I inevitably become. My characters mean so much to me, and that is why I hope this game continues to thrive and becomes even more successful. I hope the storyline keeps unfolding in interesting ways, and that new towns and continents continue to be well developed. I hope the next outfits turn out beautifully, too. Why? Because I am enjoying it.
