Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge

Profile customization is something you run into in just about every game.
Most of the time, though, it only goes as far as changing your main character or adding a one-line intro,
so once I set mine up, I rarely had any reason to open it again.

But Stellagram in Mabinogi Mobile felt a little different.
It wasn't just about decorating my own profile;
it naturally led into meeting other people and forming new connections.
That made it the most memorable profile system I've come across in any game I've played so far.

🌟 Stellagram, a Little Calling Card That Introduces Me

As you progress through the main story, you'll eventually take on the quest
'Welcome to Stella Dome!' from Daisy, the Stella Dome NPC in Dunbarton.
Once you clear that quest, Stellagram becomes available.

In Stellagram, you can set a main character,
reflect the fashion you're currently wearing, and choose the expression you want.
You can also add keywords that describe you, things you dislike, your usual play hours, and a one-line introduction,
so a single Stellagram gives you a surprisingly good sense of what kind of player someone is.

What I liked most was that it wasn't simply a place to show off character specs,
but a small calling card where you can say, in your own way, "This is who I am."

🎨 A Profile That Reflects My Taste

I really love customizing characters.
I especially enjoy looking at outfits from players who have a signature color of their own,
so the very first keyword I set was that I have a preferred color aesthetic.
I also wanted to reflect my fondness for cute animals, so I added dog and cat tags too.

I set my main character up in the outfit I liked best,
then chose a pose that showed off the dye colors nicely, along with a slightly sulky expression.
After adding the Pompompurin decoration I got from the Sanrio Characters collaboration,
I was really satisfied that my Stellagram already felt unmistakably like my character at a glance.

💛 Stella Pick, Something I Look Forward to Every Day

What makes Stellagram especially fun is the Stella Pick system.
Each day, I look through the three recommended players
and check their outfits, one-line introductions, and chosen tags one by one.

Sometimes an in-game friend appears in the recommendation list, and that moment feels especially nice.
Even if it's a friend I see often, if they show up there, I always end up tapping Stella Pick.

⭐ Encounters Connected by Stars

Stella Pick doesn't end with simply choosing a profile you like.
If I pick someone, they can see that too,
and if we're matched, we're assigned to the same channel so we can meet there.
When I happen to run into them and notice the green star floating above their head, it makes me oddly happy.

On the other hand, it's also fun to meet someone who picked me and see a yellow star above them.
Even though we haven't exchanged a single word,
it makes me think, this person must have liked what they saw in me, and that creates a quiet sense of closeness.

✨ Beyond Profiles, Toward Real Connections

I've customized plenty of profiles in other games too,
but most of them were features I set once and then forgot about.

By contrast, Stellagram in Mabinogi Mobile offers not just the fun of decorating a profile,
but also the experience of discovering other people's individuality, finding someone you like, and sometimes even becoming friends.
