From Mounts to Costumes, Elsword vs Closers for the Pure Fun of Collecting
Hello~ I’m gamer Schubiert.
These two action MORPGs have been loved for a long time, and they offer more than just straightforward grinding.
To me, their real appeal is in the detailed collection systems that really trigger that collector mindset.
So here’s a look at the collectible elements that both returning players and longtime players keep enjoying.
Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge
Mounts & Pets (Travel Tools and Adventure Partners)
Elsword “Mounts + Pets”
(Mount function o, pet o)
You get flashy, distinctive mount skills, plus a wide range of pet functions that help out in combat.
They do more than speed up field travel and dungeon clears—they also deliver that satisfying collector appeal of filling out your list and picking rides
based on looks, style, and personality.

Pets can be extracted and traded,
and some players even build them up through growth
to unlock the Encouragement Active.
If you take on Raid Boss Challenge Mode,
you can obtain pets modeled after the raid bosses.
As far as I know, Seolhwa (recommended for DPS and green-heal characters) and Melo Ten (recommended for DPS) are among the stronger options so far.
Honestly, it just looks good when your pet list is packed full

Next up after pets is the summon system.
Among summon “mounts,” Dark Chaser is useful for bussing low-level users,
while if your goal is pure movement, Witch’s Broom and Starlight Witch’s Broom
are, as far as I know, the fastest. Turn on Super Speed and run with them, and you can really feel the difference.
Closers “Pets”
(Still no mount function, pet o)
Closers still doesn’t have a mount function yet.
It does have pets, though.

It has a pet system full of personality, and those pets also support the player.
They visually round out your character’s action flow,
and there’s a small but real bit of fun in collecting uniquely designed pets that match the game’s subculture vibe.
Also, similar to a wardrobe feature, you can swap the same pet into different skins.
Achievements
Next, let’s get into the first thing that comes to mind when you think of RPGs: “achievements.”
Elsword “Achievements”

You can raise your achievement score not only through dungeons and PvP, but also through adventure, character, community, items, and more.
You can register 3 achievements of your choice in the achievement display list.
The higher your achievement score, the more it feels like proof that you’ve really put time into the game,
and your town movement speed buff also increases depending on rank.
All achievements are managed account-wide, and both clear records and progress are shared.
Rank 1 town move speed stage 1 2000 points
Rank 2 town move speed stage 2 4000 points
Rank 3 town move speed stage 2 6000 points
Rank 4 town move speed stage 2 8000 points
Rank 5 town move speed stage 3 10000 points

You can probably tell Noah is the character I’m most attached to.
See this? I completed the “Be with 10 pets as Noah” achievement.
There’s also a title system, but that one is basically pure grind, so I’ll save that for next time…
Closers “Achievements”
You can collect a wide range of achievements through story quests and by clearing specific conditions,
and earn rewards from them as well.
As far as I know, Closers achievements are tied pretty directly to Contribution.
If you just keep doing your dailies, you’ll suddenly notice some of them got completed before you even realized it

With Contribution, you can buy Plum Juice (fatigue), Resurrection Capsules, and various other useful
items.
Costume Wardrobe
Elsword “Magic Wardrobe”
At the bottom of the inventory, you’ll find the Magic Wardrobe feature.
In the Magic Wardrobe, you can take an item with the appearance you want and apply that look to another hanger item. To register a hanger, press “Register Hanger” in the Magic Wardrobe UI and click the item you want to register,
and that’s it. Once an appearance has been registered as a hanger, you can apply it to other items at any time.
This is probably the most useful feature for fashion-focused players.

You can also zoom in on your character and check them out in more detail.
I zoomed in on Noah as an example. Cute.
Closers “Costume Wardrobe”
If Elsword has a wardrobe, then Closers has its Costume Wardrobe system.

In Closers, if it’s a paid costume, you can pretty much assume there’s a skin for it.
