Taking part in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge

When we think of beautiful scenery in MMORPGs, green meadows or peaceful villages usually come to mind.
Mabinogi Mobile certainly has plenty of places that make you want to linger, like Tir Chonaill and Dunbarton.

But the scenery that left the strongest impression on me was somewhere less expected: inside a dungeon.

We tend to think of dungeons as places to defeat monsters and earn rewards,
but take your time looking around, and you'll notice how much care has gone into each one's atmosphere and scenery.
That's why I make a point of taking in the surroundings whenever I visit a new dungeon.

🏛 Barri Abyss Still Stays with Me

The first place that comes to mind is Barri Abyss, a dungeon that's no longer available.

Its towering pillars, grand architecture, and metal decorations made it feel like an ancient temple, and that atmosphere really stayed with me.
It was a place to fight monsters and set new records, but it also felt like exploring hidden ruins.
After clearing it with friends, we'd always head back into the Abyss for a screenshot to mark the occasion.

Knowing I can no longer visit makes it all the more memorable.

🌊 Rundal Dungeon Captures the Spirit of the Original

Rundal Dungeon, added in Season 2, is another place I really like.
In Mabinogi on PC, Rundal Dungeon was known for its scenery and background music,
and I think Mabinogi Mobile does a lovely job of capturing that same atmosphere.

Rundal Dungeon's distinctive chill and stillness work beautifully with the way its spaces are designed,
so even on repeated runs for items, I still find myself taking a moment to admire the surroundings.
For anyone who played the original, I think there's a welcome sense of familiarity here, while newcomers will find a charm all its own.

🌿 Fiodh Dungeon Comes Alive in the Little Details

What I especially like about Fiodh Dungeon is the feeling of exploring a forest.
It's dotted with details you rarely see in the regular fields, like sparkling grass and softly glowing spring water,
enough to make me forget for a moment that I was in a dungeon.
Even the doors that open before you enter the next area are made of vines, tying the dungeon's theme and mechanics together nicely.

✨ Daily Dungeons Are Worth Taking a Moment to Explore

If I had to recommend one place for the scenery, it would be the daily dungeons.
The Shining Cave on Mondays and Thursdays, the Dazzling Mansion on Tuesdays and Fridays, and the Radiant Ruins on Wednesdays and Saturdays
each have a completely different atmosphere.

The lobby with the goddess statue, just before you enter the dungeon, is a particularly lovely spot for screenshots.
Most players probably rush through, collect their rewards, and head straight out,
but a moment spent looking around might just change how you see the place.

At first, I just collected my rewards and left, too.
Then one day, I took my time looking around and fell for the atmosphere.
Since then, I've made time now and then to enjoy the scenery in the daily dungeons.

📸 Dungeons Can Be Travel Destinations, Too

Mabinogi Mobile has no shortage of beautiful scenery in its towns and fields.
But each dungeon has its own atmosphere and lore,
so while they're built for combat, they can also feel like destinations worth visiting in their own right.

The next time you enter a dungeon,
I'd recommend taking a moment to look around before starting your run or collecting your rewards.
You might be surprised by how many places have scenery worth saving in a screenshot.
