Among the many activities games offer, collection systems

provide both the fun of collecting and the satisfaction of filling out a collection.

This post looks at the collection systems in Mabinogi.

1) Transformation Diary

Mabinogi has a skill called Transformation, which lets you transform into monsters, NPCs, and more.

For monsters, each defeat has a chance to count toward collection, and reaching the required count adds that monster to your Transformation Diary.

You can add NPCs to your Transformation Diary by using Shamala's Transformation Medal items.

2) Crafting Diary

You can keep a record of items made with Mabinogi's crafting skills.

When you craft an item, its collection entry records the crafting date.

Crafting certain items also lets you earn achievements that grant additional rewards.

3) Journal

Mabinogi's Journal keeps records of your progress through in-game content.

Like achievements in other games, the Journal awards points based on your progress.

Reaching a certain Journal score allows you to apply to become a Royal Alchemist.

4) Life Diary

Beyond the Transformation Diary mentioned above, you can also record items obtained through fishing or made through cooking.

For fishing, you can earn a bonus rating of 5 stars based on the size of the fish you catch.

For cooking, you can earn 5 stars when the message “You can taste heaven” appears.
