This post is [participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge].

If you're totally new to RPGs, Mabinogi Mobile is an easy recommendation. The reason is simple: it's built to help 뉴비 settle in without much friction. Players who are already used to RPGs may find its structure a little slow, since you basically keep pushing through the 메인 스토리 solo all the way to 만렙, but for beginners that same structure works as valuable time to get comfortable with both Mabinogi Mobile and life in Erin.
You can hit 만렙 just by following the 메인 스토리
As someone who likes games, part of what made Mabinogi Online and World of Warcraft so appealing to me was logging in after character creation and having no clear idea what I was supposed to do. But for someone who isn't very familiar with games, adaptation comes much more easily when the game clearly shows both what to do and what is possible. In that sense, Mabinogi Mobile is very considerate from the moment you first log in after creating your character, because simply following this world's 메인 스토리 gets you close to 만렙 while also giving you time to settle into Erin as the "me" living there.
Finding your own path after reaching 만렙
Deciding what you want to do after you've had some time to adjust is completely different from being dropped into Erin for the first time and being asked to choose immediately. Even if another player gives you the exact same advice when you've just arrived in Erin, the amount you can absorb and how well you understand it will be very different. Combat, romance, healing, life skills, My Home—you can simply follow whatever pulls your interest. In a world where both your job and your activities are open-ended, all that's really left is to enjoy it.
A magic compass and a very kind guide
Another beginner-friendly strength is how clearly the game points you in the right direction. If there's an item you want to craft, it shows at a glance which materials you need, and you can also check how to obtain those materials right away.

It also tells you in one go where you need to head to continue a quest, which is another thoughtful touch.

You can open the growth guide at any time through the full menu. It explains in detail which content you should be keeping up with, and what you should do if you want to raise your level, combat power, life skill power, and charm further. And it goes beyond simply placing a growth guide and play hints in the menu—whenever you click on your character, the game also shows direct routes to the growth guide, facilities, or nearby NPCs. For major combat content like Abyss and Raids, just clicking in will even tell you the required combat power, which makes this a very advantageous system for beginners.

Wrapping up
A person's first game can shape the way they think about games for a long time. If that first experience was fun, they're more likely to be open to the next game as well, and probably more open to gamers too. But if their first impression of games was negative, there's a real chance they'll be less positive about both. That's why I'd recommend a kind, accessible game like Mabinogi Mobile as a first game. The controls are easy, it's simple to learn, and above all, both the story you move through and the players alongside you feel warm.
