[Taking part in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]



There are so many Nexon games we've loved for years, like MapleStory and KartRider,

but when it came to picking one to share, I didn't have to think twice—the Mabinogi series!

I've played Mabinogi on PC for over 20 years,

and I spent a little time playing Vindictus too.

Then I heard a mobile game was on the way and spent a long, long time waiting for it,

and now Mabinogi Mobile is the one I'm having the most fun with!

Mabinogi wasn't just an MMORPG.

Leveling up and gearing up were fun,

but what I remember most is playing music with other people!

Whenever someone started playing, people would naturally gather one by one,

and somewhere between the music and the conversation, we'd become friends without even realizing it.

We found things in common, made friends, formed guilds,

and headed off to run dungeons and hunt together~

Looking back, I spent more time hanging out with people than actually playing,

and I think that's the biggest reason I've loved Mabinogi for over 20 years.

⚔Vindictus

I played Vindictus for a little while too.

I remember how different it felt, even though it was part of the same Mabinogi franchise!

The action was really satisfying, and every hit had a great feel to it,

but I found the controls a little tricky back then😥

So I didn't stick with it for very long,

but it looked beautiful, and I still think it has a charm all its own, quite different from the original.

📱New memories with Mabinogi Mobile

I'd been looking forward to the mobile game ever since I heard it was in development.

When it finally came out and I got to play, that familiar Mabinogi feeling

from my PC days was still right there, and it felt so good to find it again.

Best of all, I'm still playing music with my guildmates,

chatting and running dungeons together as we make new memories~

I used to do all that on PC, and now

it feels like I'm carrying that same spirit forward on mobile, which makes me love it even more!

✨So, where should you start?

If you're getting into Mabinogi for the first time,

Mabinogi Mobile would be my top recommendation!

It's easy to get into, and the progression guide is really well put together, so even newcomers won't find it too daunting.

Plus, that unmistakable Mabinogi feeling is right there on your phone, easy to dip into, so it's the first one I'd recommend!

The progression guide was my favorite part, though.

When you're just starting out, it can be hard to know what to do,

but the progression guide walks you through it all, from daily and weekly content to levels and combat power.

The quests keep pointing you in the right direction too, so I hardly ever felt lost,

and it's so nice not having to hunt around wondering, "What should I do next?" like I used to!



For a mobile game, I was also really happy with the assist feature!

It's better to take manual control when it really matters,

but this isn't a game that keeps you glued to the screen the whole time,

and being able to turn on assist and do something else when I needed to made it feel much less demanding.

There's a 'smart magic compass' in the bottom right,

but even after entering a dungeon or hunting area, I used to have to get things started manually.

After a recent patch, though, the game can now play automatically as soon as I enter,

and being able to keep enjoying it even on busy days is a huge plus for me!

Having played Mabinogi on PC, Vindictus, and Mabinogi Mobile,

I've come to appreciate just how different each game's charm is!

But if someone asked me now, "Which game should I play to get into the Mabinogi series?"

I think I'd recommend Mabinogi Mobile without a second thought.

I still remember playing music with friends and talking all night 20 years ago,

and now I'm making more of those same memories on mobile with the new people I've met.

Mabinogi isn't just a memory that fades with time—

it's a game where new stories keep unfolding, even as the years go by!
