[Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]



Nexon has so many longtime favorites, like MapleStory and KartRider,

but for me, there was no hesitation at all—I had to talk about the Mabinogi series!

I’ve been playing PC Mabinogi for over 20 years,

and I also spent a little time with Mabinogi Heroes.

And when I heard a mobile version was coming, I waited for it for such a long time,

and now Mabinogi Mobile is the one I’m enjoying the most!

🎻PC Mabinogi, where I made so many memories

Mabinogi was never just an MMORPG to me.

Leveling up and gearing up was fun too, but

what I remember most is still playing ensemble music with other people!

When someone started performing, people would naturally gather one by one,

and before you knew it, after playing together and chatting, we’d all gotten close.

You’d find that shared spark, become friends, and even form guilds,

then head into dungeons and go hunting together~

Looking back, I think I spent more time with people than with the game itself,

and that’s probably the biggest reason I’ve kept loving Mabinogi for over 20 years.

⚔Mabinogi Heroes

I played Heroes for a little while too.

It was part of the same Mabinogi IP, but I remember the atmosphere feeling completely different!

The action was really satisfying, and the impact felt great,

but back then, the controls felt a little hard for me😥

So I didn’t stay with it for very long,

but I still think it was a beautiful game with a charm all its own, separate from the original.

📱New memories, Mabinogi Mobile

I was really excited from the moment I first heard a mobile version was in development.

Then when it finally launched and I got to play it,

I was so happy to feel that same old Mabinogi atmosphere from the PC days still there.

More than anything, I’m still playing ensemble music with my guildmates even now,

chatting, running dungeons, and making brand-new memories together~

Back then it was on PC, but now

it feels like that same Mabinogi feeling is living on through mobile, and that makes me even more attached to it!

✨So if you’re just starting out?

If you’re completely new to Mabinogi,

Mabinogi Mobile is the one I’d recommend most!

It’s easy to get into, and the growth guide is put together so well that first-time players won’t feel too burdened

And on top of that, you can easily feel Mabinogi’s unique charm right on your phone, so it’s the first one I’d point people to!

And the thing I liked most was the growth guide.

When you’re just starting, it can feel a little overwhelming figuring out what to do first,

but the growth guide explains everything one step at a time—daily content, weekly content, level, combat power, and more.

Quests keep guiding you along too, so there was barely any chance of getting lost,

and it’s honestly so convenient not having to run around thinking, “What do I do next?” like in the old days!



And since it’s on mobile, I was really happy with the assist feature too!

Of course, when it really matters, manual control is better,

but it’s not the kind of game where you have to stay glued to the screen the whole time,

so being able to turn on assist when I needed to and go do something else made it feel much less demanding.

There was a ‘Smart Magic Compass’ in the bottom right,

but even after entering a dungeon or hunting ground, you still had to start things manually.

But thanks to a recent patch, now once you enter, it can play automatically,

and I really think that being able to keep enjoying it even on busy days is one of its biggest strengths!

💙 Final thoughts



From PC Mabinogi to Mabinogi Heroes to Mabinogi Mobile,

playing them all really made me feel how different each one’s charm is!

But if someone asked me now, “Which game should I start with if I’m new to the Mabinogi series?”

I’d recommend Mabinogi Mobile without a second thought.

The memories I made 20 years ago—playing ensemble music with friends and talking all night—

and now on mobile, I’m carrying that same kind of memory forward with new connections.

Mabinogi isn’t just a passing memory,

it’s a game where new stories keep being made, even as time goes by!
