I believe a game can only grow into a series when it has plenty of love from its fans.

With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the one series I truly love: the Mabinogi series.

What games make up the Mabinogi series?

Nexon's official website lists these three Mabinogi games.

Let's take a look at them one by one.

The original through and through: ‘Mabinogi’

First comes the original—the much-loved game that started it all: Mabinogi.

Without this game, there would be no Mabinogi series.

This beloved MMORPG has enjoyed that love from 2004 to 2026—roughly 22 years.

Embracing change: ‘Vindictus’

Next is Vindictus, the game that took the series in a different direction.

Vindictus is a spin-off built around the idea of a prequel to Mabinogi.

While Mabinogi is an RPG with a gentle, charming feel, Vindictus is an action RPG.

With a distinctive appeal all its own that sets it apart from Mabinogi, Vindictus has remained beloved from 2010 to 2026.

Pursuing innovation with a move to phones: ‘Mabinogi Mobile’

Finally, we have the series' innovative leap to mobile: Mabinogi Mobile.

Mabinogi Mobile supports cross-platform play, expanding beyond PC to mobile as well.

In other words, it lowers the barrier to entry, making Mabinogi easier for people to pick up and enjoy.

It reinterprets the original Mabinogi for a mobile environment, aiming for a distinctly different feel while embracing a sense of freedom.

Each has its own charm, but if I had to recommend just one?

While the other two games have plenty of appeal, my personal recommendation would be Mabinogi Mobile.

The reasons are simple:

• A low barrier to entry

• Easy access on mobile

• It's the most recent… so it seems a little better optimized

Those are my main reasons.

Above all, the easier a game is to get into, the more comfortably you can enjoy it. That's why it's my recommendation.

Still, the other two are wonderful games with plenty of charm, too.

I think playing both can make your experience with Mabinogi Mobile even richer.
