It has been a while since we last covered 메이플 플래닛—and since I last logged in. I've been busy lately, with little time to play. Today, we'll look at Aran, a class based on a hero who awakens after a long time sealed in ice. Already available in 로나월드, Aran has now been released in 메이플 플래닛 as well. 1st Job

Double Swing 1 → Combo Ability M → Double Swing M → Polearm Booster M

Start by putting one point into Aran's attack skill, Double Swing. Combo Ability is central to how Aran works, so max it first to improve efficiency by boosting your attack and defense. Then max Double Swing, your main attack skill.

2nd Job

Triple Swing 1 → Polearm Mastery M → Triple Swing M → Combo Smash M → Combo Drain M → Body Pressure M → Allocate Freely

From 2nd Job onward, focus on fully upgrading your swing attacks and getting your key utility skills as early as possible. At this stage, you also gain access to combo skills such as Combo Smash and Final Charge. Combo Smash is particularly important for training. I would not generally recommend Final Charge, as I consider it a much less desirable choice than Combo Smash.

3rd Job

Full Swing 1 → Combo Fenrir 1 → Full Swing M → Combo Critical M → Combo Fenrir M → Snow Charge M → Final Toss M → Smart Knockback M → Rolling Spin M

After your 3rd Job advancement, prioritize passives and buffs to make training easier. Your new combo skill, Combo Fenrir, reduces your reliance on Combo Smash, while Rolling Spin and Final Toss give you more ways to attack. Snow Charge changes your attacks to the ice element, making it especially effective against monsters that are weak to ice. Look for training areas with plenty of fire-element monsters that share this weakness. Battlefield of Fire and Darkness, for example, would be a good choice.

4th Job

Overswing 1 → Final Blow 1 → High Mastery M → Overswing M → Final Blow M → Freeze Standing M → Maple Warrior M → Hero's Will M → Combo Barrier M → High Defense M → Combo Tempest M

From 4th Job onward, you will need Mastery Books. If you do not have them, put points into the skills available by default. Once you have all the Mastery Books, focus on maximizing the damage of your basic attack chains.

Closing Thoughts
