And not just your own character either—'Partner Customization' lets you customize the character your character can summon too, so yep, that's what I'm talking about today.

What even is a Mabinogi Partner?



✔They sing with you... fight with you...

and make solo Mabinogi feel a lot less lonely (seriously)

✔Raise their affection, and you can get double production materials from them too (massive recommend)

✔You can gift them all kinds of outfits, style them up all cute, and just admire the result (yes, I am a doll customization addict)

That's the deal.

From a practical standpoint, the second one is especially busted, so instead of digging up just one potato at a time, you can get two,

and even stuff like sparkling well dyes, which normally only drop one at a time, can come in twos—your Partner absolutely puts in work.

Wait, you can customize your Partner's appearance too?

Yep. Mabinogi Partners can be customized in crazy detail—enough to rival a player character,

or honestly... maybe even go past that.



As you can see, you can even set your Partner's height and weight.

And yep, for weight, you can even adjust the upper and lower body separately...!!

A game with customization this good,

a game that makes you put this much love into a Partner who's not even your main character,

that's Mabinogi!



And the really interesting part was the weight—

the upper body looked different at max weight versus minimum weight.

You can also go deep on details like the eyes, nose, mouth, face shape, and more.

And it doesn't stop there—there's even one more thing here you don't get when creating a player character,

and that's 'personality.'



For personality, you can choose from Cool / Bright / Cocky—

3 types in total.

"A face that feels like he has some kind of past. A stoic expression. It's hard to tell what he's really thinking. How do you even get his attention?"

-Bright-



"He's always there to greet me with a bright smile. Sometimes, when his master is having a hard time, he cheers them up with cute little charms. Let's enjoy a sweet little life together with him!"

For the record, if you pick Bright, your butler starts dancing all over the place.....

-Cocky-



"His look as a former soldier gives off a very cocky vibe. He seems hot-blooded and rough around the edges, but that's not really what he's like inside. Let's try taming him(?)"

A Partner with the cocky personality does a fist-fighting gesture.

It also kinda fits that 'swaggering punk' vibe.

So definitely think about the personality of the character you want to create before picking one!





And even then, that's still not the end—

use Beauty Coupons and all kinds of outfits to complete your very own one-of-a-kind Partner.



+ Back in the day, if you gifted gear to a Partner, it was theirs forever, so you needed a 'Dedicated Untrain Potion' to get it back.

Now, though, you can freely take items out of and put items into your Partner's inventory, so you can even lend them outfits worth tens of millions on the market without a second thought.

Why I ended up sticking with Mabinogi for so long

My acquaintances all quit too, and life in Erinn turned into endless days of solo Mabinogi.

Sure, people say you can just join a guild and play that way.... but as an adult trying to juggle real life too,

being able to log in when I can and dip right back out(?) with solo play just fits me way better.

I made alts because I wanted to customize all kinds of characters besides my main,

but if logging them in at the same time is hard anyway....

But if you use Partner customization!!!

With your main!!

You can have them together!! In the same place.

If you're a newbie Milletian, I'd really recommend picking up at least one Partner for all sorts of reasons.
