But let's go beyond your own character and talk about 'Partner Customization' for the partners your character can summon.

What's a Mabinogi partner?



✔Sing together...fight together...

Make solo Mabi life a little less lonely (for real)

✔Build up their Likeability to get double the gathered items (HIGHLY recommend)

✔Give them all kinds of outfits, dress them up, and admire your handiwork (I'm a doll geek)

That's what partners are for!

That second perk is HUGE for practical stuff: you can dig up two potatoes at a time instead of just one,

and get two Fixed Dye Ampoules from the sparkling well instead of just one. Partners really pull their weight!

Wait, you can customize your partner's looks too?

Yep, Mabinogi partners have customization options that pretty much rival your own character's—

actually, they might be even MORE detailed.



As you can see, you can even set your partner's height and weight.

You can even adjust their lower- and upper-body builds separately...!!

A game with customization this good,

a game that makes you put this much love into a partner, not even your main character,

THAT is Mabinogi!



What really surprised me was the weight setting:

the upper body had a different look at maximum weight than at minimum weight.

It's super realistic!

Upper body min-max at 80kg

Upper body min-max at 40kg

Lower body min-max

You can get into the details with eyes/nose/mouth/face shape, too.

There's one more option here that you don't get when creating your own character:

their 'personality.'



Your personality options are Aloof / Cheerful / Cocky—

3 types to choose from.

"A face that hints at a mysterious past. A stoic expression. It's hard to tell what he's thinking. What would it take to catch his interest?"

-Cheerful-



"He's always there to greet you with a bright smile. When his master is having a hard time, his cute antics help lift their spirits. Enjoy a cozy little life with him!"

By the way, pick Cheerful and your butler will dance like crazy.....

-Cocky-



"A former soldier with some serious swagger. He might seem hotheaded and prickly, but deep down, he's not like that. Try taming(?) him."

A Cocky partner puts up his fists like he's ready for a fight.

'Swaggering' feels like a pretty good description, too.

Pick the personality that fits the character you want to bring to life!





And don't stop there—

shower them with Beauty Coupons and all kinds of outfits to make your partner truly your own.



+ Back in the day, any gear you gave a partner was theirs for good unless you used a 'Trade Unlock Potion' to get it back.

Now you can freely move items in and out of your partner's inventory, so you can lend them outfits worth tens of millions without a second thought.

Why I've stuck with Mabinogi for so long

Everyone I know has quit, so life in Erinn is just solo Mabi, day after day.

Sure, I could join a guild and play with them....but as an adult juggling real life too,

going solo and hopping in and out(?) whenever I can just suits me better.

I made alts because I wanted to customize characters besides my main,

but getting them logged in at the same time is tricky anyway....

But with partner customization!!!

With my main!!

In the same place!! They can actually hang out together.

If you're a newbie Milletian, there are so many reasons I'd recommend getting at least one partner.

And giving them an awesome look that's all your own!
