This time, our topic is~~~~!!!

A game with clear progression goals!!

When it comes to powering up, it's gotta be RPGs, right!?

And my pick is Korea's go-to RPG, MapleStory!!

Out of all the RPGs out there,

I think MapleStory gives me the biggest urge to keep getting stronger!

Let me break down why, one reason at a time ><

1. A boss tier ladder to climb

Bosses in MapleStory don't just show you how much stronger you've gotten, they also serve as milestones pointing you toward your next progression goal!

• Straightforward difficulty tiers: With tiers like [Easy - Normal - Hard - Extreme], your next goal is clear—"Once I beat this boss, I'm taking on the next one"!

• Clear benchmarks: The community shares concrete benchmarks for when you're ready to take on each boss, like "X × 10,000 damage range in the stat window," "Mu Lung Dojo floor X," or "X × 10,000 converted main stat"!

2. Your "stat window" and "Combat Power" put your gains into numbers, instantly

You're not just going by feel when you get stronger, the numbers are right there to prove it, and that makes you really, really want to keep pushing them higher!

• Combat Power you can see at a glance: Thanks to UI improvements, your "Combat Power" shows up as a big number in the stat window, so every time you upgrade a piece of gear, you get that instant hit of achievement from watching it shoot up!

• Mu Lung Dojo and damage rotation testing (Punch King): Systems like "Mu Lung Dojo" and "Punch King" have you hitting bosses to score points within a time limit, letting you measure exactly how far you've come!

3. Interconnected progression systems (multiple ways to grow)

Hit a wall in one area? You can find another way to power up and keep those gains coming!

Think systems like HEXA skills and Symbols!

• Gear progression: Even a single piece of gear gives you all kinds of ways to invest in it, from Star Force enhancement and Potential to Bonus Stats and scroll enhancement!

• Building your foundation (account-wide progression):

  • Legion & Link Skills: Every time you level an alt, your main gets guaranteed stat gains!

  • The Symbol system (Arcane/Sacred/Grand): Keep putting in the time with daily quests, and you're guaranteed to gain stats!

• 6th Job Advancement and Sol Erda: Leveling up and gathering resources lets you raise your skill levels and get stronger, giving you a huge reason to keep pushing!

Legion and Link Skills aren't available in the current Challenger World!

Just remember, you'll be able to use them once you transfer to a regular world later ㅎㅎ

4. Clear rewards (higher-tier bosses = more resources)

Get stronger, beat higher-tier bosses, and the rewards scale right up with them—of course they do, right!?

• Intense Power Crystal prices and exclusive drops: The higher the boss tier you clear, the more its boss crystal is worth, plus you can score valuable items that only drop from that boss (the Pitched Boss Set, 광휘세트, etc.)!

• (When's it my turn to get a drop..)

• A rewarding resource loop: That classic cycle of "Get stronger → Clear higher-tier bosses → Earn more resources → Get even stronger" feeds right back into itself, and every step connects so well!
