Taking part in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge

When I saw the theme “games that are good for 2 players,” my first thought was:
Mabinogi Mobile revolves around 4-player dungeons and 8-player raids, so what could I write about?
Most of the game's content is designed to be enjoyed in larger groups,
but after some thought, I remembered one feature that's just for you and a friend—the 2 of you.

That feature is 2-person actions.

2-person actions work a little differently from regular actions.
When an adventurer who owns an action uses it, their character enters a waiting state.
If another adventurer comes close, a Join In button appears.
Pressing it lets them take part even if they don't own the action,
triggering a special animation in which the 2 characters interact.

🌹 Rose Gift

This action was available through the Springtime Promise Mission Package, sold from May 21 to June 4.

Your character sits on the ground, holding a rose as they wait for someone to join.
When another adventurer presses Join In, your character hands them a bouquet of roses.
The recipient then smells the flowers and reacts with delight.

💍 Ring Gift

As the name suggests, this 2-person action is themed around a marriage proposal.
It was available as part of stage 3 of the Full of Luck Sequential Package.

Your character waits for someone to join while holding a box containing a ring.
When someone presses Join In, your character hands over the ring, and the recipient happily admires it from different angles.

👉 Perfect Partners

Personally, I find this the most distinctive of the 2-person actions.
It was available as a reward for clearing Dagda's Twisted Ruins, which was added on March 19.

Dagda's Twisted Ruins is a puzzle dungeon exclusively for 2 players, where you guide objects to their destinations.
I liked that completing the dungeon also rewarded you with an action.
Your character waits in a confident stance with their hands on their hips.
When another character presses Join In, the pair strike a playful pose, pointing finger guns at each other.

🤭 Princess Carry

If I had to pick one action for a laugh, it would definitely be this one.
During the Make and Share! event, which ran from February 12 to March 12,
you could craft a Chocolate Gift Set and exchange it with the NPC Caitin for this action.

Your character opens their arms and waits for someone to pick up.
The character who presses Join In is then scooped straight into their arms.
The funny part is that the animation stays the same regardless of gender or body type,
so a character with a 10-year-old's body type can effortlessly lift an adult male character set to the maximum height.

💃 Couple Dance

This action was available through the Sweet Breeze Mission Package, sold from February 12 to March 26.

Your character gently sways from side to side in rhythm as they wait for a partner.
When someone presses Join In, the 2 characters smoothly begin dancing together.
Watching them move in sync through those lively, cute dance steps is really charming.

Mabinogi Mobile is an MMORPG built primarily around 4-player dungeons and 8-player raids.
That's why I initially thought it wasn't quite a fit for the theme of games that are good for 2 players.
But looking at these features one by one, I realized the game has steadily added ways
to laugh with friends, take photos, and make memories while playing around together.

There's more to multiplayer than combat.
Taking photos with 2-person actions during a short break from tackling a raid together,
then looking back at those screenshots and smiling even after an event has ended—that's part of the fun of an MMORPG too.
I hope more 2-person actions are added, giving us even more small moments to enjoy with friends.
