Seeing Noah Stronger Than He Was Yesterday — the Clear Joy of Spec-Up in Elsword
Hello, this is Shubieoteu.
I think the biggest thing that keeps people playing RPGs is the sheer fun of growth.
There’s something thrilling about seeing all the time and effort I poured in turn into higher combat power and bigger damage numbers,
and finally hitting the entry cut for even tougher dungeons.
The game that made that sense of spec-up hit me most clearly was
KOG’s “Elsword,” published by Nexon.
'Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge'
A Memorable Growth Goal: Unlocking the “Abyss Sedimentation Weapon” to Stage 5, and Refining Armor

While building up my main character, “Noah,” the clearest goal I set for myself was
to fully complete the Stage 5 growth unlock for the Abyss Sedimentation Weapon you get from the Abyss raid.
In Elsword, top-tier endgame to near-endgame raid weapons aren’t something you’re done with just because you obtained them,
they come with very specific “unlock quests,” like clearing certain dungeons dozens of times
or defeating tens of thousands of monsters. On top of that, there’s the “refinement” system that pushes the performance of Tenebrous or Exascale armor
to its limit, so every single day, the exact numbers and goals I needed to fill were
right there in front of me. If I fell short today, then tomorrow
I had a clear roadmap for how much more of those growth quests I needed to clear to get stronger, and that kept me going.
(Raid rewards can be claimed once per week.)
The Moment That Felt Best: Jumping from “Just a Combat Power Character” to a Proud “Main Dealer”

The most rewarding moment was when, after repeated spec-up, in dungeons where I used to join mainly for synergy,
I finally claimed the party’s “main dealer” spot with confidence, and saw my Noah on the MVP screen.
After finishing the Abyss weapon unlock quest, getting my armor into solid shape, and then pushing through
higher-level content like the Abyss raid and Breath with my party members, it feels incredibly satisfying.
That deep affection of realizing, I really did raise this character this far through my own effort, along with the feeling of being rewarded for all that time,
that kind of accomplishment is what really makes the game feel so satisfying to play.
My next goals are running the Serpentium raid
and getting the Conche title. I still haven’t done them because I can’t be bothered though ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I heard the Doom Apo raid can be done solo now, so I’m curious if you all have tried it.
Thanks for reading my post. This was Shubieoteu.
