In Mabinogi Mobile, a Pyromancer is a dealer. The strength of a dealer is simple: in combat, you have the power to kill the enemy before they ever hit you. The weakness is just as simple—you might get hit and die first instead. In a one-on-one fight, it really is a race to see who drops first. If you’re not strong enough to delete them before they delete you, then you’re the one going down.

A dealer isn’t durable, and they can’t heal themselves either. If anything, they’re flimsy. It hurts. It hurts a lot. And since Pyromancers are part of the magic line and wear cloth armor, getting hit seriously, seriously, seriously hurts. What you’ve got is basically 5 potions and 5 bandages for combat, plus around 3 grenades and 2 enhancement elixirs. And even those are time-limited.

But does that mean we should be sad? Not at all. Because no one is alone in this world. Me—not alone! When things get hard, look up at the sky. I’m never truly alone. Even if it rains, even if the harsh wind blows~ the sunlight shines again, so on those painfully tearful days~ try shouting out loud just once. So that the fragile sadness~ that was coming for me~ can run away again~ and if that line is ringing in your ears right now, well... that says a little something about your age, uhuhut.

Anyway, back to the point. We’re not alone. We have party members with us. Party play is more fun together, and because everyone takes on a role, it lets each person cover for the others’ weak spots. “Wait, is this another Mabinogi Mobile post?” Yes. Yes, it is. Mabinogi Mobile is the game I play the most, and the one I enjoy with my friends. “Then isn’t it lonely when your real-life friends aren’t online at the same time?” Nope. Because we still have chance encounters! And the connections that start there have their own kind of romance too.





Starting solemn and ending with a smile: party play that brings weaknesses Down and strengths Up

When you board the ship, your mindset gets serious. You tell yourself this voyage has to end with a successful return too. But once you sit by the fire, share a meal, enter the raid zone, and start fighting, that resolve starts to soften. When you’re tackling a raid for the first time, there’s a real kind of fun in carefully checking what each person needs to watch out for. And once the raid becomes familiar, the fun shifts into teasing whoever had the biggest goof-up(?). Like when you’re supposed to fire at the Succubus, but somehow end up shooting the shadow instead.





And beyond that, a party setup of tank, healer, and two dealers just feels solid. Because then you can focus purely on damage. The tank holds the front, the healer patches you up quickly, and that lets you commit fully to dealing fast, heavy damage. It’s the kind of setup that covers each person’s weaknesses while pushing their strengths to the max.

Satisfy the greed, and leave the romance behind in photos

Fighting in sync with partners who let you fully maximize what you’re best at is genuinely thrilling. This is probably true for most people, but there’s no dealer without a little greed for damage. If something lets you go all-in on DPS, how could that not be fun? And after a successful raid clear, there’s another kind of joy waiting too. Fighting together is fun, of course, but taking commemorative photos together afterward really is its own special kind of fun.





Solo is nice too, but together the time feels warmer

Mabinogi Mobile has a lot of content built around cooperation. There’s Dagda’s Adventure 1, where 4 people solve quizzes together, and Dagda’s Adventure 2, where 2 people have to work in sync, plus Succubus and Eirel, various boss raids, and even Abyss. Playing alone has its own charm, sure, but the joy of playing together is something you really can’t let go of either.

Really, light a campfire, sit together, share a meal, and try playing music too. Sharing black tea and cotton candy, singing work songs together while gathering wheat, or hoeing away to dig up pumpkins—those are all part of the fun of being together as well.
