[PEAK Challenge] FC Online Is Great for Building a Team Together and Enjoying Matches Together

[Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]

The game that felt especially well suited to two people was FC온라인.

Quick Squad

In this post, I want to talk about why it was so enjoyable to build a squad with a friend, watch each other’s matches and give advice, and even play against each other directly.

Games are fun when you sit down and focus on them alone, but having someone beside you creates a completely different kind of appeal. Soccer games in particular give you something to talk about right away whenever you score, concede a frustrating goal, or sign a strong player. In that sense, FC온라인 felt like a particularly good game for two people.

The biggest reason FC온라인 worked so well for two players was that the experience does not end with simply playing a single match. The match itself is fun, of course, but even before that, there is a lot to enjoy in talking through what kind of team to build, which players to use, and what formation to choose. Compared to building a squad alone, I spent much longer thinking things over when I was putting a team together with a friend.

For example, when choosing a striker, playing alone might mean deciding based only on stats or price. But with a friend, the conversation changes. You start trading opinions like, “This player feels good to use,” “A two-footed player is better in this position,” or “If we want to match the team color, this player makes more sense.” At that point, it stops feeling like simple player selection and starts to feel more like managing a real football team.

Building a squad together creates more conversation than I expected. First, you have to decide whether to go with a favorite club, a national team color, a performance-focused setup, or a more sentimental one. Then there is the question of which players to sacrifice and which ones to keep within the salary cap. The whole process was much more enjoyable with two people.

Looking at the transfer market together was especially fun too. Searching for the player you want, checking the price, and talking about whether now is really the right time to buy can easily fill a lot of time even when you are not actively playing. Once you have a target player, you naturally end up watching the market together and saying things like, “Should we wait a little longer?” or “Is it fine to buy now?” That kind of back-and-forth was one of the reasons FC온라인 felt so good for two people.

After signing a player, you immediately want to try them in a match. If a newly bought striker scores, you celebrate together, and if a player you were excited about feels a little underwhelming, the verdict comes out right away. Comments like, “He’s slower than I expected,” “The passing is decent,” or “The shooting is definitely good” helped each player leave a distinct impression.

Playing 1v1 against a friend was also one of the biggest pleasures of FC온라인. Even in the same soccer game, facing a friend makes the competitive side come out more strongly. Moments that might otherwise feel like just another ranked match carry more weight when it is against someone you know. If you score first, the energy shifts immediately, and if you concede, you want to respond right away.

I think the appeal of a 1v1 match lies more in the process than in the result. What stays with you are the moments when you talk again about a goal, laugh over a mistake that gave the ball away, or both react to a goalkeeper save. Especially when an equalizer or comeback goal comes late in the second half, that one match tends to stay in your memory for a long time.

When two people play together, advice during the match also comes naturally. If one person is playing and the other is watching from the side, the viewer sometimes notices things the player misses in the moment. Comments like, “There’s a runner going now,” “The wing is open,” or “Don’t force the pass—you can play it back” made it feel like we were managing the match together.

Of course, if the person next to you talks too much, it can become distracting. But even that felt like part of the fun of playing together. If you listen to the advice and create a good chance, it feels satisfying for both people, and if you still make a mistake after hearing it, it somehow becomes even funnier. FC온라인 has a lot of moments like that, so playing with two people makes the atmosphere come alive very easily.

Manager Mode was also content that suited two people well. In directly controlled matches, one person usually ends up doing most of the playing, but Manager Mode is ideal for talking through tactics and player placement together. Changing formations, adjusting tactical values, and watching which players make the best runs made it feel like the two of us were running the team like real managers.

Watching Manager Mode had a different kind of appeal from direct play. When players moved the way we expected, we would say, “This tactic is pretty good,” and when the attack felt sluggish, we immediately wanted to change the formation. Watching the result together and talking about why we won or lost felt like its own kind of content.

Enhancement also feels more tense when you are watching it with someone else. It is nerve-racking even alone, but when a friend is sitting beside you, the reactions to success and failure become much bigger. Even before pressing the enhancement button, the mood gets tense for no real reason, and if it succeeds, you celebrate together, while if it fails, you feel disappointed but still end up laughing. Moments like that are more memorable with another person than alone.

One reason FC온라인 works well for two people is that it is not only enjoyable for people who know football in depth. If you like football, you can have more detailed conversations about players and team colors, but even if you do not know much about the sport, goals and the flow of the match are easy to follow. So even if one person knows more, the other can still enjoy it right alongside them.

FC온라인 is also good for shorter sessions. If you have plenty of time, you can keep the competition going over several matches, and if you do not, you can simply look at the squad together or just check the transfer market. Even without playing a match, you still come away with a next goal, something like, “Let’s try this player next time.”

The content I would most recommend is 1v1 matches with a friend and building a squad together. A 1v1 match is fun because the result is immediate, while squad building gives you something to keep talking about before and after the game. Add Manager Mode and the transfer market on top of that, and there are even more ways for two people to enjoy the game together.

More than simply being good at the game, what felt important to me in FC온라인 was enjoying it together through conversation. Who has the better players and who is more skilled can certainly be part of the fun, but what really stays with you are the goals you laughed about together, the ridiculous mistakes, and the last-minute comeback goals.

FC온라인 is a good game for two people because football is such a familiar subject. It works whether you are playing matches directly, watching from the side and giving advice, or thinking through the squad together. There are plenty of moments when both the player and the person watching have something to say, so it naturally becomes a shared experience.

For me, FC온라인 was fun alone, but it became much more memorable with two people. One person could control the game, the other could watch from the side, sometimes we could face each other directly, and at other times we could build a team together while continuing to talk about football.

To sum up the main points from today’s post:

FC온라인 is a game that works very well for building squads with a friend and talking about players.
1v1 matches were especially enjoyable for two people because they combined competitiveness with funny moments.
The transfer market and enhancement were entertaining even when we were just watching them together from the side.
Manager Mode offered a different kind of cooperative fun by letting us think through tactics and player placement together.
Even for people who do not know football well, it is easy to enjoy by following the goals and the flow of the match, which is why I would recommend it.

Is there a game that felt more fun for you when you played it with a friend or partner? If there is a game where you built a team together, split roles, or competed against each other, feel free to share it in the comments.
