Today, let’s look at how the party system can help you clear deep dungeons more easily.

There are 3 main ways to enter a dungeon in Mabinogi.

Going Solo

If you’re thinking “I can handle this on my own,” or you have something specific to do in a dungeon (like meeting the cat merchant),

going solo is the way to go.

Just enter the dungeon with both Chance Encounters and Companions turned off.

Companions

This option lets you bring along preset NPC companions instead of other players.

You can form a party with 엘다 and 뮤리엘 as your fixed party members.

엘다 is a Warrior, and 뮤리엘 is a Healer.

Bringing them along costs 5 Heart Tokens when you enter.

엘다 says to just trust him... but I can’t really trust him.

뮤리엘 does seem to help a little, at least!

The idea is that 엘다 tanks and 뮤리엘 heals...

When the game first launched, companions weren’t much help, and bringing them along cost a whole 2 Fomor Offerings. I never used the feature back then.

But now it only costs 5 Heart Tokens, so give it a try!

Chance Encounters

This option matches you with other players to run a dungeon together.

You get to meet other players “by chance” in the dungeon.

As you make your way through the dungeon, another adventurer will happen to join you, like this.

Clear a dungeon through Chance Encounters, and you’ll get a Friendship Pouch as an extra reward.

Friendship Pouches can give you all sorts of materials, including runes, gold, seals, and enchants.

Pretty much all the major rewards are in there.

Personally, I really like the “Chance Encounters” system in Mabinogi Mobile.

Unlike party systems in other games, it makes grouping up feel easy and natural.

You just run a dungeon and meet other players along the way,

and you naturally end up helping each other through it!!

When my Combat Power is low, I use it to get some help.

When my Combat Power is high, I use it to help other players through their dungeons. It’s really useful either way.
