Today, let’s go over the party system that can make clearing Deep Dungeons a lot easier.

There are three main ways to enter dungeons in Mabinogi.

Going Solo

If you’re confident handling things alone, or you need to do something specific in the dungeon, like meeting the Cat Merchant,

then you’ll want to enter solo.

In that case, just go into the dungeon with both Chance Encounter and Companion turned off.

Companion

This option lets you bring a designated NPC instead of another player.

You can play as a party with either Elda or Muriel as your fixed companion.

Elda is a warrior class, and Muriel is a healer class.

When you enter, you can spend 5 Heart Tokens to bring one with you.

Elda says to trust her... but honestly, she doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

Muriel at least feels a little more helpful!

In theory, Elda handles tanking and Muriel handles healing...

Back when the game first launched, though, companions were so weak—and cost 2 Demon Tribe Offerings—that it was basically a feature nobody used.

Now it just costs 5 Heart Tokens, so give it a shot!

Chance Encounter

This is the option that matches you with other players in the dungeon so you can run it together.

You can ‘randomly’ run into other players while inside the dungeon.

As you keep going, another adventurer can suddenly join your run.

If you clear a dungeon through Chance Encounter, you’ll get a Friendship Pouch as an extra reward.

The Friendship Pouch is a bag that can give you all kinds of materials, including runes, gold, seals, and enchants.

You could pretty much say it contains most of the major rewards you’d want.

Personally, I really like Mabinogi Mobile’s ‘Chance Encounter’ system.

Unlike party systems in other games, it makes grouping up feel really easy and natural.

You just run dungeons as usual, naturally meet other players along the way,

and end up helping each other out through the run!!

When my combat power is low, I use it to get help,

and when my combat power is high, I use it to help other players with their dungeon runs, so it’s been incredibly useful.

You should give Chance Encounter a try too and enjoy a comfortable, low-stress party experience!
