[Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]

Playing games solo is definitely fun, but some games become even better when you share them with someone else.

The very first game that came to mind for me was Mabinogi Mobile.

At first, I took things slowly and enjoyed the game on my own while working through quests, but before I knew it, I had joined a guild,

and that’s when I really felt how much more fun and rewarding party play could be compared to going alone.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 The Special Fun That Party Play Brought

In Mabinogi Mobile, one of the most fun parts for me was taking on dungeons and boss content together. There were so many moments where everyone played their role, worked through the boss mechanics, and helped each other get past dangerous situations. Content I probably would have given up on quickly by myself became something I kept challenging again and again with my party members, and when we finally got the clear, the sense of achievement felt so much bigger. If we failed and got wiped, we had to start over from the beginning, but I still remember us cheering each other on and saying, “Let’s try just a little more,” until we finally beat it.

👍🏻 Even More Special Benefits of Playing Together

In most games, making a party to clear dungeons or bosses probably feels pretty similar. But in Mabinogi Mobile, there’s something extra special about partying beyond boss-focused content like Abyss or raids!

-Friendship Pouch System

With Season 2, Mabinogi Mobile added a system called the Friendship Pouch, and it comes with all kinds of nice benefits. Just like the name suggests, it’s literally a pouch you get for building friendship! You can earn it by clearing dungeons with someone, hanging out at a campfire, doing an ensemble, or spending time together in My Home. When you open the pouch, you can get a variety of random rewards like seals, scrolls, and runes, and pulling a seal, a 10-star rune, or a 10-star scroll from it feels absolutely amazing! The rewards are so good that I really recommend collecting the full weekly amount whenever you can.

-Buffs You Receive for Playing Together

In Mabinogi Mobile, party play gives you attack power and buffs, so my character feels stronger in a party than when I’m playing alone. And just like it says on the official website, your chances of farming good items also go up! That’s why, when I’m trying to get better drops, I usually run with a full four-person party instead of going solo. Even a small boost in the odds is still a win!

-Co-op Missions

This is another system that was newly added in Season 2. You can choose the missions you want to do with friends and invite the specific friends you want! The rewards are different for each mission too, so if you pick the rewards you want and missions you already do often, it makes the whole process smoother and lets you claim the clear rewards as well.

👬🏿 My Favorite Party Play Experiences

-Succubus Raid

Succubus is a raid that you can play with a four-person party.

As the fight goes on, the boss scatters roses and sends you to where the Black Succubus is, and that’s exactly where party play really shines! If the group has high enough combat power, all four people can go in together, but if not, you have to split into teams of two.

When the first team (two people) goes in and picks up the red roses, the second team outside (two people) has to attack the nightmares of the first team’s downed characters. Then the purple flower AoE sent by the boss has to be moved far away from where the first team is. Teamwork really matters here!! If even one thing goes wrong for a second,, it can turn into a disaster where the raid just won’t clear.

Even when all four go in together, if just one person fails to enter, the whole party dies to the purple AoE... That’s the heart-racing charm of party play! Since raids are something you need to do every week, I had so much fun working through the mechanics and coordinating with my party members.

-Digda 1

There’s a quest called Digda 1 in Mabinogi Mobile!

You can only enter this quest with a full four-person party, and you have to solve every riddle together to clear it!

Recently, I went to Digda with a guild member who hadn’t been able to do the quest yet, and while some of the riddles had us cooperating together on the same screen, others had us split up and solve them through communication. We read the text written in each room, solved the quizzes, shared each person’s mission, and worked our way through the quest step by step. There was even a mission where we had to copy an NPC’s dance!

This quest had to be entered a total of 2 times, and if you clear everything, you get rewards, including a full mouse outfit set. It felt like a kind of riddle quest experience I had never really had before in Mabinogi, which made it even more fun. Because it was a success we earned by joining forces with our party members and really using our heads, it felt even more meaningful!

⌚ In the End, the Time Spent Together Was the Best Content

I think good content is important in any game, of course, but when you have people to share it with, the fun really doubles. Moments that might have passed by as ordinary on my own became full of laughter with friends, and clearing difficult content felt even more rewarding too.

In Mabinogi Mobile, splitting up roles to clear dungeons together, cheering each other on, celebrating each other’s growth, and achieving our goals one by one turned into memories I think I’ll keep for a long time. That’s why, to me, Mabinogi Mobile is a game that shines even brighter when you’re together.
