But as someone who actively plays games, I think live showcases hosted by developers can be just as enjoyable as streaming content. You get to see the first details of a new season, and at the same time share live reactions with countless other players who love the same game, which makes the wait for the update feel even more exciting.

The stream I look forward to the most is Mabinogi Mobile’s season showcase.

Whenever a new season begins, Mabinogi Mobile holds a live showcase on YouTube. The developers appear in person to introduce upcoming content and explain the direction of future updates, and not only players of the game but many other interested viewers tune in together in real time.

I make a point of watching the showcase every time the season changes. As soon as the broadcast starts, the chat fills with players sharing their excitement and impressions whenever new information is revealed. It is a very different kind of fun from watching a video alone. There is something immersive about knowing everyone is waiting for the same moment together.

I still clearly remember the most recent Season 2 showcase.

That broadcast revealed a range of new content for the first time, including the Magic Resistance system, a new raid, and concept art. Listening to the developers explain each addition gave us an early sense of how the game would evolve, and with every new reveal, the chat grew even more animated.
