Games contain all kinds of elements.

At times, though, traces of horror slip into places far removed from a game's original genre.

This time, we will look at the “Ghost Library,” a horror-themed element hidden inside the charming world of Mabinogi.

In Dunbarton, one of Mabinogi’s cities, there is a school, and at that school you can find the teacher NPC Stewart.

If you raise your affinity with Stewart, the Secret Shop becomes available.

From that Secret Shop, you can purchase the “Scary Library Pass.”

Possibly because of its horror theme, the price is set at 4444 gold.

If you enter the library while carrying the pass between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM in game time,

you will encounter monsters like the ones shown above, all wrapped in an eerie atmosphere.

The monsters that appear have high stats, so caution is necessary.

Entering the Ghost Library grants the “Seen the Library Ghost” title shown above.

The title itself is not especially strong, but it still feels worthwhile as a collectible.
