[PEAK Challenge] My Top 3 Lifetime RPG Games
Hello, this is Shubiut.
Distinct character concepts, dazzling skill effects, and the electrifying satisfaction of landing a perfect combo...
these are the three games that shaped the backbone of my gaming life and set my personal standard for what an “action RPG” should be.
So, here are my lifetime picks.
This list is mainly focused on PC games.
Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge
1. Elsword (ELSWORD): The hometown of cartoon-style subculture action
For my number one pick, I chose Elsword, a game I have played with my sibling ever since childhood.
It is my true gaming hometown, and the title that first awakened me to the thrill of keyboard-driven action.

(The recently changed character selection screen)

The unique combo systems and skill chaining built into each character feel truly one of a kind,
and its stylish cartoon-inspired visuals, paired with layered and unmistakable character narratives, make it
an irreplaceable game I can still lose myself in whenever I come back to it, no matter how much time has passed.
2. Closers (Closers): The thrill of dazzling skill-chain combos that has stayed with me since the Nexon era
This is the game that shattered the limits of speed and impact that 2D belt-scroll action could deliver.

Even though the service has now moved over to Naddic Games,
it is still one of the best action games that carried my adventures through the Nexon era.
At the heart of Closers are its wide variety of skills, each designed to push a character’s individuality to the forefront, its flashy combo-linking mechanics, and its relentless pace that keeps coming at you without a pause.
Its tightly crafted story presentation, the kind that makes any subculture fan’s heart race, still holds a truly unmatched place even within this genre. (It is a game I have been playing passionately since high school.)
3. MapleStory (MapleStory): The perfect harmony of light and darkness, the heroic character “Luminous”
My MapleStory gaming life can almost be summed up by one captivating character: “Luminous.”
MapleStory is also one of the games I have loved since childhood.

The “Eclipse/Sunfire” system, which lets you alternate between the powers of light and darkness, and the
explosive damage-dealing mechanic during the Equilibrium state come together as a perfect blend of concept and fun.
In particular, the overwhelming visual impact and wide-area field control of “Reflection,” a skill built to maximize monster hunting, make this dot-style 2D
RPG one of the most satisfying hunting experiences in the genre.
Thank you for reading my post. This was Shubiut.
