In this post, I review a 10 quadrillion BP Chelsea squad built for the July summer season in FIFA Online 4 / FC Online, with a 310 salary cap.



Player prices in FC Online have risen considerably recently following package changes, event rewards, and an increase in the BP supply. Players who fit popular team colors or have new traits often see sharper price movements on weekends, so it may be worth watching the market for a few more days rather than buying right now.

Personally, I would avoid buying this weekend, check prices again this coming Tuesday or Wednesday, and look for a dip before making a purchase. Inflation may continue for a while, though. Rather than building the entire squad at once, I think the safer approach is to add the players you want to your watchlist and buy them one at a time as their prices fall.

Chelsea: Legends Offer More Appeal Than an Active-Player Lineup

Chelsea has plenty of good active players, but in FC Online, its legends remain a good way to combine nostalgia with performance.

Names like Drogba, Gullit, Hazard, Čech, and Ashley Cole are reason enough to enjoy building a Chelsea team-color squad. They also have a consistently proven record in-game.

If you prefer an active-player Chelsea squad, you can build around options like Caicedo, Guéhi, and Aina. For this 10 quadrillion BP squad, however, I felt a performance-focused mix of legends and active players would be more satisfying.



DCB Didier Drogba (ST)

Drogba remains the natural choice as Chelsea's lone striker.

Chelsea has several options at striker, including Aubameyang, Shevchenko, Crespo, and Torres. But when you want both Chelsea nostalgia and performance, it is hard to leave Drogba out.

I chose DCB Drogba for this squad.

The main reason is his new Cross Poacher trait. This Chelsea squad works well with Hazard and Pedro unsettling the defense from the flanks and Drogba finishing through the middle.

In my experience, his positioning in the box, strength in physical duels, heading, and finishing all feel good.

He is a clear threat on crosses, and his ability to use both feet is another advantage. He is more than a nostalgic pick: even in a 10 quadrillion BP Chelsea squad, I can comfortably recommend him as a lone striker on performance alone.



FSL Ruud Gullit (CAM)

FSL Ruud Gullit takes the attacking midfield role.

Gullit is usually the first name that comes up for Chelsea's attacking midfield position. Lampard, Forlán, Zola, and Havertz are alternatives, but for a 10 quadrillion BP squad, Gullit is the safest choice for both performance and consistency.

FSL Gullit offers good physicality, passing, shooting, and movement.

He can build attacks from CAM and get into the box to finish chances himself. Drogba holding the ball up in front, with Gullit linking play behind him, is a setup that suits a Chelsea squad very well.

You could even say that Drogba and Gullit form the core of this 10 quadrillion BP Chelsea squad.



25DP Eden Hazard (LM)

25DP Eden Hazard plays on the left wing.

Chelsea has excellent options on the wings, including Hazard, Zola, Pedro, Nkunku, and Joe Cole. For me, though, Hazard best captures that sense of Chelsea nostalgia on the left.

25DP Hazard feels good on the dribble, changes direction well, and keeps possession effectively.

He feels natural receiving the ball out wide and cutting inside. Near the box, I found it easy to unsettle defenders with quick movements before taking a shot or making a pass.

In a Chelsea squad, Hazard is more than just a strong performer. He makes the team more enjoyable to play.



FAC Pedro (RM)

FAC Pedro plays on the right wing.

The right-wing choice often comes down to Nkunku, Zola, or Pedro. I felt this squad needed a reasonable investment in attack, so I chose FAC Pedro.

Pedro notably has the new Line Breaker trait, which has been receiving positive reviews lately.

Thanks to Line Breaker, he makes good runs in behind and frequently bursts through the defensive line from the right flank.

While Drogba finishes through the middle and Hazard unsettles the defense with his dribbling on the left, Pedro opens up attacking options on the right with his runs and pace.

25UCL M. Caicedo (LDM)

The first defensive midfield spot goes to 25UCL M. Caicedo.

Defensive midfield is especially important in a Chelsea squad, as it provides the link between attack and defense. I chose Caicedo with both new traits and performance in mind.

25UCL Caicedo has the new Wild Tackler trait, which helps him feel effective defensively.

His work rate, coverage, pressing, and tackling are solid, and he does a good job of breaking up opposition attacks in midfield.

Much of the budget for a 10 quadrillion BP Chelsea squad goes toward attackers, so cutting back too far in defensive midfield can upset the overall balance. Caicedo is a good choice here, offering both performance and a new trait.



WS N'Golo Kanté (RDM)

WS N'Golo Kanté partners Caicedo.

Kanté brings both nostalgia and performance to Chelsea's midfield. His WS season has the new Chaser trait, making it particularly well suited to the current meta.

Kanté's strengths are his work rate and pressing.

He moves well to win the ball and tracks back quickly. He does not overpower opponents physically, but I found him effective at staying close and disrupting their play in midfield.

Caicedo provides the decisive defensive challenge with Wild Tackler, while Kanté uses Chaser to cover more ground and provide support.

I think this pairing makes for a fairly reliable double pivot in a 10 quadrillion BP Chelsea squad.

WS Ashley Cole (LB)

WS Ashley Cole takes the left-back spot.

Ashley Cole is almost the default choice at left-back for Chelsea. I selected his WS season for this squad.

Ashley Cole has the new Chaser trait and can also receive a small bonus from the Heart of the Blues special team color.

Chaser is quite important for full-backs. In the current meta, pace on the flanks and the ability to deal with counterattacks matter a great deal, so keeping up with opposing wingers makes a noticeable difference in-game.

Ashley Cole is dependable when tracking back, covering the flank, and making overlapping runs, while also offering that Chelsea nostalgia.



CH Kalidou Koulibaly (LCB)

The first center-back spot goes to CH Kalidou Koulibaly.

Among Chelsea's center-backs, Koulibaly stands out for his physicality and defensive reliability.

His strength in physical duels, aerial ability, and defensive coverage are solid. He provides a dependable presence in the back line of a 10 quadrillion BP squad.

Chelsea's attack takes up a large share of the BP budget, so it is difficult to fill both center-back positions with the most expensive options.

With that in mind, I think Koulibaly offers a reasonable balance between price and performance at center-back.



25DP Marc Guéhi (RCB)

25DP Marc Guéhi partners Koulibaly.

Guéhi has recently been one of the more popular center-back picks for Chelsea. I chose him for this squad because of his new Wild Tackler trait.

25DP Guéhi reacts well defensively and provides good cover, while Wild Tackler makes his tackling presence noticeable.

While Koulibaly handles the physical and aerial side of defending, Guéhi closes opponents down a little faster and makes interceptions.

Both players offer defensive reliability, and the pairing also gives you access to a new trait. That combination made them a good fit for this 10 quadrillion BP Chelsea squad.



25DP Ola Aina (RB)

25DP Ola Aina takes the right-back spot.

Ola Aina and Ramires are common choices at right-back for Chelsea. At the moment, though, Ola Aina appears to be the more popular pick.

Ola Aina offers good pace and work rate, and he tracks back well.

He is dependable in both attack and defense at right-back and offers good value for his price.

Right-back can easily become a weak spot in a Chelsea squad, but adding Aina improves the team's overall balance.



BDO Petr Čech (GK)

BDO Petr Čech starts in goal.

Čech is the safest choice in goal for Chelsea and brings plenty of nostalgia. I chose his BDO season with the squad's salary cap in mind.

Čech's height gives him good reach when making saves, and he feels reliable.

Opinions on how a goalkeeper feels in-game can vary, but Čech is also a satisfying choice for the nostalgia he brings to a Chelsea team-color squad.

Even with a 310 salary cap, it is difficult to fill every position with high-salary players, so it is best to consider both salary and BP when choosing a goalkeeper.

Overall Verdict on the Chelsea Squad

This FC Online Chelsea squad for the July summer season combines the appeal of club legends with in-game performance, using a 310 salary cap and 10 quadrillion BP.

DCB Drogba provides finishing and aerial ability as the lone striker, while FSL Gullit handles the attacking buildup from CAM.

25DP Hazard and FAC Pedro provide dribbling and runs in behind on the flanks, while Caicedo and Kanté bring new traits and defensive reliability to midfield.

The defense consists of Ashley Cole, Koulibaly, Guéhi, and Ola Aina, with BDO Čech completing the lineup in goal.

Recent inflation has pushed player prices up across the board. Rather than stretching your budget to build the squad right now, I recommend avoiding weekend prices and checking again this coming Tuesday or Wednesday.
