[Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]

I started in middle school

and by high school I was ditching school and going to the PC bang with Geunmi basically every day to play Cyphers

On the way there we’d even play Cyphers character BGM and try to guess whose it was

The second I got to the PC bang, turned on the computer, and launched Cyphers

hearing that loading BGM would get me so insanely hyped

Even now, when I hear the BGM, it takes me right back to then…

Now everyone’s become office workers, getting married, quitting games, so for me too it’s turned into a game I play once a year

but man it really was such a fun game

Back then we’d burn skills trying to get up on the map boxes and sometimes even end up up there together with the enemy team

and we’d all get way too immersed in our characters and just mess around together too ㅋㅋ

it seriously had that whole romantic old-school vibe and it was fun as hell

(if you look at the chat, Rebecca’s laughing and asking if getting on the box is really that good)

It really really was such a fun game though

but a huge part of it is that only the hardcore veterans are left now, so every match got sweaty as hell,.

especially if you play at dawn, everybody’s tempers are just completely wrecked too so it’s stressful as hell

Looking at old screenshots makes me feel weirdly sad..

So yeah, now I play it once a year.

Seriously, if you look at my blog posts, I really do play it once a year ㅋㅋㅋ ㅋㅋ ㄹㅈㄷ

and now it’s July 2026 again so I guess it’s that time

but even the chars I pick feel old now too, so I’m lowkey scared to queue up ㅜ

Still, I’m gonna love Cyphers forever..

There was that Cypher Han Day event today, and I even bought a ticket but didn’t go because I was too lazy

but it’s my forever life game, like genuinely, in my heart.

Writing this made me wanna play again and now I’m sad
