Taking part in the NEXON PEAK Post Challenge

Back in elementary school, I played Crazy Arcade

with my younger cousin, then took a break for a while,

forgot my password and ended up making another account, or

I'd see a friend playing Gersang and join in,

only to get bored pretty quickly and quit—that sort of thing.

I got bored easily, so I kept hopping from one game to another,

and that meant I tried all sorts of games along the way,

including an unusual card game called 신마령,

and a mobile game called 아이돌 파라다이스,

which left nothing behind but its songs—

some games I only stopped playing because they shut down.

I'd like to share the 3 games I was saddest to lose,

along with the NEXON game I'm playing now.

One I enjoyed back around high school

was Emil Chronicle Online, from 그래피티 (권호?),

which I played on my computer,

an MMORPG

with cute little characters

and a big map that was part of its charm.

I could decorate my airship (which doubled as my home),

Oh, right, there were those horror events that came out of nowhere, too.

With items from paid gacha pulls

and items earned through events or quests,

I could dress up my character.

The second one is—

(I don't know the original, so I'm not sure how it all connects, but…)

apparently based on the .hack series—

the mobile collectible card game

Guilty Dragon.

It looks like I could dress up my character with items earned from events in this one, too.

And the third is, of course (?)

Alternative Girls…

So, after spending time with these anime-style

collection games where I could take part in events at my own pace

and dress up my (3D) characters with the items I earned

(Japanese subculture games, that is),

I happened to come across Mabinogi Mobile.

(I'd played Mabinogi too, for about… 3 weeks? When I was 13?)

I dress up my characters and take screenshots,

make all sorts of characters,

and decorate my home, too.

Well, my memory of it all is a little hazy,

so the resemblance might not be that close, but

I use photos (screenshots) and drawings as references and try putting together cosplay outfits for my characters,

or leave the game idle in photo mode and move the camera around,

exploring different places,

taking screenshots and saving them on my blog,

then sharing them in the community cafe—that's how I've been enjoying the game.

For now, until I find a game that's even better for fashion w...

for indulging my love of dressing up, I mean,

I'll keep playing until it shuts down.
