Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge

When people think of the one game that defined their life, it is usually the game they played the longest

or simply the one they had the most fun with
But for me, it feels a little different
Of course, the fun I had while playing matters too,
but if a game is where I met people whose connection carried over into real life,
then I do not think anything could be more special than that

In that sense, my game of a lifetime right now is Mabinogi and Mabinogi Mobile, which share the Mabinogi IP

🤝 Game friends who have stayed with me for more than 10 years

I had a game friend I had known for a long time even before I started playing Mabinogi Mobile
We first met in PC Mabinogi
We were in the same 길드, running 던전 together, enjoying events, and chatting about little things, and somewhere along the way we naturally became close

As time passed, we both ended up stepping away from PC Mabinogi, but somehow the connection did not end there
Even after we stopped playing, we kept in touch, and before I knew it we had become friends of more than 10 years
I never imagined that simply sharing one game would keep a relationship going for this long

✨ Someone I met again in Mabinogi Mobile

When Mabinogi Mobile launched, that friend and I returned to Erinn together
But there was one more thing I never expected

Back in PC Mabinogi, we had been in the same 길드,

but after quitting the game, I had naturally lost touch with one of my guildmates
and then I ended up meeting that person again in Mabinogi Mobile.
We noticed each other’s nicknames and started talking, and it really was that old guildmate from back then.

So much time had passed since we lost contact that I truly never imagined we would meet again in the same game,
enjoying content together, laughing, and talking like old times
It felt even more incredible when I thought about how, if I had never started Mabinogi Mobile, we might never have had the chance to meet again

🚄 New memories that continue beyond the game

Now we are not just people who meet inside the game
I live in the greater Seoul area, but I have gone all the way to Gyeongju and Busan myself just to meet these friends
Eating together, going to cafés, and talking all day with people I had only known online,
it did not feel at all like I was meeting them for the first time

That connection is still going strong even now
We have even made plans to meet again in Daejeon next month
It still amazes me that a bond that began inside a game has continued into so many corners of the country
At this point, it feels less like I am going to meet people I game with and more like I am going to see old friends

💛Why these are my games of a lifetime

A game may shut down someday, and someday I may naturally drift away from it too
But the time I shared with the people I met there does not fade that easily

If PC Mabinogi was the game that first created those connections for me,
then Mabinogi Mobile was the game that brought them back to life
I ended up enjoying the same game again with a friend I had stayed in touch with for years,
and I have even reconnected with bonds that once went quiet, making new memories together in real life

So if someone asked me to name my one game of a lifetime,
I think I would talk about Mabinogi and Mabinogi Mobile without hesitation
Fun content and growth systems matter too, of course,
but these games taught me that in the end, what stays with you the longest is people,
and that is because there are so many good people in this game
