[Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]

If you’ve played games even a little, don’t you usually have that one life game tucked away in your heart?

Today, I want to introduce mine!

First of all, my life game is ‘Mabinogi Mobile’!!! Let’s get into why.

Ever since I was little, I played MapleStory, Elsword, TalesRunner, Asgard, Crazy Arcade, Overwatch, and so many more. I tried all the games my friends liked too, but more than combat, I always had the most fun with RPG-style games where you dress up your character and watch them grow.

But... I get tired of things really fast, so I had a whole pile of games I went super hard on for about half a year, then dropped because I got bored. And after becoming an adult, I had less time and less interest in games, so I played even less.

Then the game I came across was ‘Mabinogi Mobile’!!!

At first, I started because a friend recommended it, and my reaction was basically, ‘Huh? Is this really that fun?’ Then the friend I started with quit before long.. and I was left all alone in the world of the game....

But that’s when I got hooked, and even though I’d always been strictly free-to-play, I started spending a little here and there... and now I’ve been playing for almost 200 days.

So now, let’s look at why someone like me—a dopamine-chaser who gets bored of everything way too easily—calls Mabinogi Mobile my life game!!!

First, convenience!!!

Usually with RPGs, the maps are huge and it’s basically a given that you have to run around and find everything yourself, but in Mabinogi Mobile, auto controls are a thing!! So when you want to do something, you can just tap the quest and it automatically takes you there. For someone like me, who gets lost even going to the same place over and over, this was ridiculously convenient!!!!

Also, if you turn on Assist Mode in battle, auto-battle works too! Since 100% of my interest goes into dressing up my character and I’m basically clueless when it comes to combat, this system seriously felt like a ray of light for me,, Of course, when there are gimmicks or things you actually need to do yourself, you can move your character manually, turn auto off, and play however you want. Being able to leave battles on auto whenever I wanted—or whenever I was busy—was a massive plus too!!

And on top of that, for things like gem synthesis and equipping, performance upgrades, and putting on armor or gear, there’s even an auto-equip function! It doesn’t just throw on random stuff either—it automatically equips gear that matches your class properly. This was also such a convenient feature for me, someone who knows absolutely nothing about raising combat power.

Second, a game you can totally play solo!

In Mabinogi Mobile, there are systems like ‘Play Alone,’ ‘Chance Encounter,’ and ‘Companion’

set up for players who like playing solo!

Things like Abyss or raids that normally need multiple people can be adjusted to a difficulty you can clear on your own, so you can play them through Play Alone. There’s also a system called Chance Encounter that automatically matches you with other players even if you go in alone without a party! And if you really can’t find a party, there’s also a system called Companion that lets you fight alongside in-game NPCs!

But honestly, I haven’t really used Companion much.

The Chance Encounter system works so well that I never really needed to!

So for introverted gamers like me who get stressed out by party play where you have to communicate and rely on others,

or just people who prefer solo play, this is a huge advantage!

Just like me.... I absolutely loved Chance Encounter, and I still use it all the time!!!

Third, the adorable art style & how pretty the characters are!!

The second thing is just how pretty Mabinogi Mobile’s art style is.

That’s why the characters are so so so pretty.........

My character is so pretty that I just keep wanting to look at them... it’s like a spell..

Who doesn’t love pretty things!

When I pick a game to play, the art style has to match my taste or I won’t even feel like starting it in the first place, and Mabinogi Mobile’s art style was cute and pretty from the start. At first, since it was mobile, I only played on my phone and just thought it looked nice, but after I started playing on computer, I seriously couldn’t stop admiring it... I even ended up bragging to my friends like, isn’t our baby sooo pretty..

You can adjust age, body type, height, and even skin tone, and you can even fine-tune clothing dyes down to the exact colors you want! The freedom is so high that it’s actually rare for people’s customizations to overlap!

(I still haven’t seen anyone in-game with the exact same customization as mine)

And the motions are way too cute......... Thanks to all the different emotes, taking screenshots is seriously so much fun...

If you’re like me and love taking screenshots, or you’re super serious about dressing up characters, this is 100% the kind of thing that’ll make you lose your mind!!!!

If you wear the same outfit as a friend, do the same motion, and take pictures together, it’s so cute and pretty that you’ll want to do nothing else......

+ I get happy whenever I pass by super handsome or super pretty characters~

(Hot take.. honestly, isn’t cute everything? Aren’t we all playing at least a little for the joy of having a pretty character?)

Fourth, good people!!!

The real secret to how I’ve been able to keep playing this long without getting bored is this: good people!

Originally, I was someone who played alone, and I was doing fine just casually playing, so I had no intention of joining a guild. But somehow, I got unexpectedly scooped up like a stray cat, and that first and last guild I joined had a huge impact on me. Through that guild, I got to meet good people, and because of them I was able to learn all kinds of info, events, and guides. I don’t usually check the homepage much, so them telling me about all the stuff I might’ve missed helped me a ton. And doing raids and Abyss with them meant I could get help and clear harder difficulties right away too!

Honestly, I feel like things are even better now than when I was playing alone.

It’s even better for people who love taking pictures and dressing up their characters. There are even interactive motions you can do together, so the cuteness multiplies like crazy!!

And even if it’s not someone you know personally, if there’s something you don’t know or you need to find a party, you can just ask in the in-game chat right away! The second you ask, tons of people reply, and parties get put together super fast too.

That warm sense of community between players really feels like one of the biggest points!

When I see everyone jump in to help because someone asked, it makes one little corner of my heart feel warm after getting worn down by this harsh world...

And besides everything I mentioned above, there are so many other reasons too—like the fun combat, the story, the variety of life content, My Home, and more. Of course there are some disappointing parts too!! But if a game has strengths, it’s bound to have weaknesses, and I don’t think there’s any game out there that can satisfy every single player.

And for me, the strengths outweigh the weaknesses enough that I really do think Mabinogi Mobile is my life game.
