Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge

I think Mabinogi Mobile drew attention not just because it was fun to play, but because it was such a streaming-friendly game too.
A lot of streamers were playing it right after launch, and I even had the random experience of seeing my own character show up on a broadcast while I was playing.
Add in the official Fantasy Live and the recent Drops event,
and it really left me feeling like this is a game where streaming pops up in all kinds of ways.

🎥 The launch period when streamers flooded in

When Mabinogi Mobile first launched, it wasn’t hard to find streamers broadcasting on Chzzk, SOOP, YouTube, and other platforms.
There was so much interest that if you searched “마비노기 모바일 풀영상” on YouTube, tons of VODs and gameplay videos would come up right away.
Even in-game, I often saw people promoting their streams through world chat,
and I remember checking a few of them out myself just out of curiosity.

👀 Running into streams inside the game

What stood out to me most was how naturally gameplay could lead straight into a stream.
Sometimes I’d get matched through random encounters with players whose character names or pet names were something like “치지직OOO,”
or I’d see party recruitment titles with a note saying they were live.

I’d think, wait, is the person I just met actually streaming? Then I’d click in to check,
and sure enough, my character from that very same party would be right there on the broadcast screen.
It felt refreshingly easy to run into all kinds of streamers through features like random encounters and cross-server play.

🔥 Official live shows that keep things going

It’s not just player streams, either—the official side has kept up a steady stream of live broadcasts as well.
Campfire Live previews new updates, events, and upcoming content, and it’s also a chance to hear directly from the developers.

For someone waiting on the next update, it’s also one of the first places to catch new information,
so on days when Campfire Live is on, I sometimes gather in-game with friends and watch it together.

There’s also Fantasy Live, hosted by PD Nyang, where they play minigames and interact with players by reading the live chat in real time.
Rather than being a broadcast focused on delivering new information, it feels more like a community-driven show you can enjoy together outside the game,
and that was what impressed me most—the official broadcasts never feel too stiff and are easy to enjoy in a light, relaxed way.

🎁 A Drops event you could join just by watching streams

More recently, there was also a Drops event tied to streaming.
If you watched designated broadcasts on Chzzk and SOOP for a set amount of time, you could enter a drawing for Nexon Cash,
and it felt like a nice way for even players who don’t usually watch streams to naturally get exposed to that side of the game.
I liked that they didn’t just create things to enjoy inside the game, but turned watching streams itself into part of the event.

Honestly, I’m not usually someone who watches streams regularly.
So before I started playing Mabinogi Mobile, I had no idea it had built up such a varied streaming culture around it.
But as I played, I kept running into broadcasts naturally, and after seeing the official lives and the Drops event too,
I came to realize that streaming is also one way to enjoy a game.
Even if you’re not the type of player who actively seeks out streams, I still think this is a game where that kind of culture is worth experiencing at least once.
