[PEAK Challenge] Even after the collab ends, what really lasts is the styling

Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge

Game collaborations always come to an end eventually. The events wrap up, and the minigames disappear too.

But the outfits I put on my character, and the pets I picked up, are still there.
That’s why when a collaboration starts, I check the fashion items before I look at performance.
For me, the outfits I can pull back out and wear again months later are the memories that last the longest.

Sanrio Friends X Mabinogi Mobile

Out of all the collaboration outfits released so far, my favorite is the Kuromi Hoodie & Shorts.

Mabinogi Mobile has fewer casual outfits than you might expect, and this one really helped fill that gap.
When you put the hood up, Kuromi’s ears pop up too, and there’s even a little devil tail on the back of the shorts, so the overall finish feels impressively polished.

There was one letdown, though. The Kuromi print on the chest of the hoodie can’t be dyed.

I get that, with a Sanrio IP collaboration, they need to preserve each character’s signature colors,
but as someone who enjoys dyeing items, I found myself wishing they’d made an exception more than once.

For the Sanrio collaboration, I also picked up the Pompompurin Lover Shih Tzu.

It had the same stats as the existing Shih Tzu pet, so I could actually use it in regular play, and I liked the crit and additional hit stats too.
More than anything, my character often wears yellow and brown-toned outfits, and Pompompurin’s color palette matched that really well.

At the time, pet dyeing didn’t even exist yet, so it was rare to find a pet whose colors I liked this much.
On top of that, this was the first legendary pet I ever successfully upgraded, so I kept it with me a lot for quite a while.

Mabinogi X Mabinogi Mobile

As someone who played PC Mabinogi for a long time, this was not a collaboration I could just skip.

Some of the popular outfits from the original game made their way over to mobile,
and Winter Forest Explorer was one I’d liked for a long time, so as soon as it showed up, I knew I had to pull for it.

It’s sitting in storage for now since it’s summer, but once winter comes around, this is probably the first outfit I’ll pull back out.

MapleStory X Mabinogi Mobile

I didn’t buy any separate items during the MapleStory collaboration.

Instead, I made sure to grab the Orange Mushroom Hat from the event rewards.

I even re-dyed my outfit to match the hat before taking screenshots, and they turned out much cuter than I expected,
so it’s still one of my favorite pictures now.

Personally, I was left a little disappointed too. MapleStory has so many popular fashion items,
but this collaboration focused mostly on the pet, the hat, and the minigame.
I can’t help thinking it would have been a more fun collaboration if it had included outfits as well.

Baram X Mabinogi Mobile

In the Baram collaboration, I got the Baram Squirrel Robe.

Originally, I had no plans to pull for this outfit. The sleeve design just wasn’t my taste becauseㅇ...

But my friends kept saying I absolutely had to get it, since they already call my character a squirrel all the time.
So in the end, I decided to pull for it,
and my luck was awful.

I wanted to complete the set with the shoes and gloves too, but I ended up hitting pity and barely managed to get just the outfit.

What’s funny is that the squirrel pet, which actually had the lower drop rate, showed up pretty quickly instead.

It was a hamster pet carrying an acorn and even had a squirrel tail, so I really liked it,
but the outfit took much longer to appear, so I still remember struggling with it right to the end.

Once the event period ends, a collaboration becomes just another passing event.

Even so, when I open my storage and put on an outfit I got back then,
or take out a pet that stayed with me for a long time, that event naturally comes back to mind.

That’s why, when a new collaboration starts, I check the outfits first.
If it’s an outfit that already makes me think I’ll want to pull it back out and wear it again a few months later,
then that collaboration ends up being one I remember for a long time.
