1. A Masterclass in Impact: Satisfying Combos and 'Hitstop' Animations

Of all the games with 3D toon-rendered graphics, Elsword might just do the best job of making its character movements feel deeply satisfying to control.

Even during basic attack combos, the way characters stretch and twist their bodies, along with the sweeping arcs of their weapons, makes every move look incredibly dynamic.

What really sells the impact is the carefully crafted 'hitstop' animation: that split-second freeze or slowdown when a hit connects delivers such an exhilarating feel that it's like taking direct control of a 2D animation.

The fluid animation transitions when walking or dashing convey a fantastic sense of speed, too.

2. 'Custom & Idle Animations' That Give Idols a Run for Their Money

The dungeon combat animations are one thing, but for me, the animations in towns and waiting rooms are the real standouts.

Characters do far more than just stand around: whether they're sitting, using custom animations, motion avatars (including New Year's bows, ELSTAR animations, and more), or basic emotes, their personalities come through in everything from the tiniest fingertip movement to the direction of their gaze.

The unique skill animations added as you progress through job advancements 1~3, paired with the spectacular skill animations that seem to burst right through the screen, get me hyped every single time.
