[Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]

There are just some things that make your heart race in online games! And one of the biggest ones is collabs with famous games or characters! I seriously love that stuff too,,, and Mabinogi Mobile has already done a bunch of different collabs so far, like MapleStory, Sanrio, The Kingdom of the Winds, and more.

Here I’m going to talk about the MapleStory and Sanrio collabs! Because I actually got to experience them myself! Personally, I thought the Sanrio one was just way too cute. Of course, they were all things only paying players could really buy,, stuff you had to spend cash on,, but still, they were cute. And cute is everything! (Please protect your bank accounts, everyone)

First, let’s look at the MapleStory collab!

1. MapleStory Collab

MapleStory really gets everyone’s heart pounding!! There’s basically nobody who doesn’t know MapleStory, right? Even the MZ crowd all know MapleStory these days!! It’s been loved steadily in the Korean game market for such a long time, so I was already insanely excited from the moment the collab was announced. I played Maple too when I was in elementary school, so this collab really brought back those old memories! Those outfits and characters,, Slime, Orange Mushroom, Snail, you all know them!

Those dot-style characters just have that charm, you know? Pretty, cute, and cool all at once. I still have friends around me who play MapleStory, and there was also that offline Maple event popup this time, right? So I ended up looking forward to this event even more.

Like you can see above, you could really experience that signature MapleStory vibe inside Mabinogi Mobile. There were all kinds of costumes, equipment, and customization items, and they also added event content with an atmosphere that instantly made you think of MapleStory. Especially if you love dressing up your character (like me), this was such a happy event to play.

During the event period, there were also lots of missions and attendance rewards going on. If you met certain conditions, you could get limited items or event currency, and then use those to exchange for collab-exclusive rewards. So even if you didn’t do anything special, as long as you kept up with your daily tasks, you could get Maple-related items, which made it a really easy event for free-to-play users to enjoy too! Of course, I didn’t buy the outfits or pets either,, hehe but you could still enjoy it plenty, which made it an even better event!

The Orange Mushroom hat you can get just by playing a little! When you think MapleStory, doesn’t Orange Mushroom immediately come to mind? It’s sooo cute… the second I saw it, it instantly felt like MapleStory, such a good choice for a hat!

And not just that, if you played a bit more and kept up with your daily tasks, they also gave out a Pink Bean transformation doll!

Even after the event ended, as long as you had the material called Core of Change, you could transform into Pink Bean anytime, anywhere, so everybody was turning into Pink Bean and enjoying the nostalgia together. (You can still enjoy it now too)

Everybody knows Pink Bean, right?! Sooo cute.. ah..

They decorated the square in Mobinogi Village like MapleStory, so I went there, turned into Pink Bean with total strangers, and just enjoyed the nostalgia! We didn’t know each other at all, but isn’t it sooo pretty how all the players came together and made a heart in the middle,, cute and cute and cute,,,, The fact that everyone gathered up and made a heart like this is such a great memory. And with so many people standing around together, doesn’t it feel even more like MapleStory? I’m sure there are Mobinogi users who also play MapleStory, and for them too, it must have felt really special having the two games they play coexist in one place. I loved getting to feel that Maple vibe in Mobinogi! Cute is best~~~

2. Sanrio Characters Collab

Personally, this was my favorite collab of all! The Sanrio Characters collab!!!!!!!!!!

Sanrio has characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, and more that have been loved all over the world for such a long time, right? They’re the kind of characters everyone loves, from little kids to adults~ And there are so many different Sanrio characters too, so everybody has different favorites, different color tastes, and they’re all super popular! So hearing they were doing a collab in Mabinogi Mobile,, my heart was pounding,,,

That said, this one wasn’t something you could get with the usual tickets. It was a paid package, and if you wanted to pull the character outfits, you had to buy separate character tickets too, so yeah,,, it really was clothing only paying players could get. But even so, I still think I was able to enjoy it more than enough!

I brought along friends who had the Sanrio Characters collab outfits! There are lots of Sanrio Characters, but for my example I picked Kuromi, who really represents that classic purple-and-black Sanrio vibe! I personally like black too, so I like Kuromi. That hoodie and matching hat set, the sticker on the cheek, and even the backpack are all sooo Kuromi, they look gorgeous… Mabinogi Mobile is usually the kind of fashion game where lots of people play for the fun of dressing up and styling their character, and I think this hoodie set looks even prettier because it feels like everyday clothes. And in Mobinogi, you can dye things however you want too, so you can wear them in your own favorite colors and really show off your personal style! Conclusion: Kuromi is cute!!

There’s a Pompompurin bag too! So cute, right.. Pompompurin, with yellow as the main color, is also one of the many beloved characters. Though honestly, there isn’t a single Sanrio character that isn’t loved,,,

I’m not some pro whale, so the character outfits and packages were way too expensive for me to buy, but even just by doing daily tasks and the usual things, I could still get clothes! That T-shirt all the way on the far right is the basic short-sleeve shirt you could get just by doing daily tasks! Sure, the other outfits are pretty and cute too, but come on, they gave us a basic outfit at all! It’s a short-sleeve T-shirt with all the Sanrio Characters gathered together on it, and personally I really like it. If you wear it together with friends, how cute is that~ once everyone gathers up, the cuteness doubles, it’s just too cute..

And they also gave out Sanrio Characters face accessories too. See the sticker on the cheek there! It’s a face decoration item you can use to style your face! You could open one box for each character, so I have all of them! And there’s also a content feature called Stellagram, where you introduce your character, and they gave all 4 types of stickers you can use on that screen too, so I’ve been using them very happily!

If I had to point out a downside, it would be that you can’t dye the basic outfit or the face accessories, but even then, I actually thought that was nice too because it let you enjoy the Sanrio Characters just as they are! If you already like Sanrio, then this was definitely an even more fun collab to enjoy. I personally love Sanrio so much too, so I was really happy that I could meet characters I love inside a game I actually play!! All of it stayed behind as such amazing memories!

I really hope they keep doing lots more collabs!!!
