[Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]

There are so many kinds of collabs these days, often with all sorts of celebrities or other works.

But out of all of them, I wanted to talk about the one that left the biggest impression on me.

Nexon has been keeping a really wide range of games alive and in service for a long time.

And among them, there’s one game that recently hit its 30th anniversary.

That game is ‘The Kingdom of the Winds’.

Since launching in 1996, The Kingdom of the Winds has held its place all the way up to now, still going strong with so many users.

Since it has such a long history, lots of different games joined in to celebrate The Kingdom of the Winds’ 30th anniversary.

As part of that, there were all kinds of collab avatars and events, and this time I want to show the collab items celebrating The Kingdom of the Winds’ 30th anniversary from two games I personally like, especially the outfits ^_^~

Mabinogi Mobile

Mabinogi Mobile released an adorable squirrel outfit and a squirrel pet.

Why a squirrel? Some of you might be wondering, and the reason is…

In The Kingdom of the Winds, users hunted squirrels to earn experience and items.

But when there weren’t enough squirrels in the hunting grounds, leveling became slower, so users asked Nexon to create more squirrels.

That’s the story, apparently. Seeing something like this really makes me feel like Nexon remembers those old moments with its users so well and actually brings them back in fun ways~

Elsword

Elsword also ran an event related to squirrels.

There’s even this little detail where it actually appears if you say the line ㅋㅋ

At first, I honestly thought the acquaintance who told me about it was just joking around with me.

And here are the avatar and motion that came with it.

The avatar is apparently one that appears in The Kingdom of the Winds.

And this motion is based on one of those really famous meme images…

It’s a parody of this!!

I liked this motion so much that I bought it for both my main and sub characters.

Wrapping up

I think this collab stayed with me the most because you could really feel the respect being shown to an old game.

I also really loved that it wasn’t just one game celebrating its own 30th anniversary, but all of Nexon’s games celebrating together.

I’d be so happy if all Nexon games keep being loved by users for a long, long time and continue to grow too ^_^~
