[Participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge]

I've loved games since I was little, so yeah, I played a ton of them

You can still find traces of the old games I used to play all over my blog,

and honestly it's pretty fun seeing how the ones that are still around have changed over timeㅋㅋ

Back when my sibling and I had to take turns gaming on the one computer our parents had in the living room…

My very first Mabinogi post was way back in 2011

The screen wasn't even 16:9 yet

I started because a friend introduced me to it when I was a kid,

and at the time I was in my "just take pretty screenshots" era, so combat power? skills? raids? I barely knew any of that

What I did have was a ridiculous number of screenshots.

Were elves even in the game back then? I honestly can't remember

I started as a human, then switched to an elf later

How to get stronger? Yeah, I had no idea about any of that, I just wandered around taking screenshots,

then got smacked by random trash mobs and had to play dead all the time..

And if you played Mabinogi back in the day, you probably remember this,

but there was this thing called the shutdown system

(me being extremely pissed off)

I think it only applied to minors?

Once it hit a certain time, Nao would show up and tell you to close the game

I even wrote one of those little workaround posts on my blog about how if you went into your pet, the shutdown system wouldn't get you

This is a screenshot from the day I rushed in because there was an event giving out 3 dragons

My older girl cousin told me to log in ASAP, so I managed to get all 3 dragons

Thanks to the friend who dragged me into the world of Mabinogi, I even went to stuff like this with guild people

I still don't really know what we were even doing though ㅋ

ㅋㅎ

Because

I logged back into Mabinogi recently and played for a few days, for the first time in literally 1n years,

and of course I took screenshots too

(my screenshot skills have improved)(but I still don't know how to play Mabinogi)

Right when I was juuust starting to figure things out……

MobiNogi showed up instead (ta-da, what incredible timing)

So now I'm trapped in the world of MobiNogi. Still trapped there, actually

When I was looking into getting back into Mabinogi, it definitely felt hard, and the quests were pretty unfriendly too. I guess that's because it really is an old game. Back then, players just figured everything out one by one on their own, but these days there are so many different games that I think a lot more of them have become convenient and user-friendly.
