[PEAK Challenge] Ears blessed~~ Same voice actor, totally different vibes! Genshin Impact vs Mabinogi Mobile

Taking part in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge

Genshin, the game I used to love!

Mabinogi Mobile, the game I love now!!!!

I seriously adore both of them so much~~

While going through the Mabinogi Mobile main story, there were a few characters that made me think, wow, the acting is so good and their voices are amazing!!

Because of that, I got way more immersed in the story, and my love for the game went wayyyy up!

But then I found out they were voice actors I already loved in Genshin too?

Same voice actor, and they can sound this different!!

A playful villain and a warrior of darkness (Voice Actor Nam Dohyeong)

In Genshin, there's Tartaglia, the Fatui Harbinger who's playful but totally battle-crazy!

I really loved the punchy, energetic tone Nam Dohyeong gave Tartaglia~

And in Mabinogi Mobile, he plays Morgant, who has this super mysterious, charismatic aura!!

It's completely different from Tartaglia's signature sly tone—here he uses this low, serious mid-low voice~

It fits Morgant's whole vibe sooo perfectly,

so every time Morgant shows up, my immersion shoots way up~~

From the elegant head of a noble house to the absolute god of darkness (Voice Actor Jang Minhyuk)

Voice Actor Jang Minhyuk, who played Kamisato Ayato in Genshin, is in this too!

Ayato is basically the final boss of gentlemanly charm!! Just like his looks, his calm, refined way of speaking and his voice are absolute perfection~

And that elegant Ayato voice~~

In Mabinogi Mobile, it turns into the voice of an absolute dark god who feels like he could destroy the whole world!

Every time Kihoel gets even a single line while I'm pushing the story, chills run all over my body,,

it feels like that voice alone brings the tension of the entire world to life

Our kind and dependable forever support! (Voice Actor Ryu Seunggon)

Mabinogi Mobile's Aiden, currently preparing a rebellion (or not)!!!!

I really love Aiden too^//^

At first, I had absolutely no idea...

but it turns out he's voiced by Ryu Seunggon, the same voice actor as Thoma in Genshin!!

Now that I think about it, Genshin's Thoma and Mabinogi Mobile's Aiden are both such dependable support types, right?

If Thoma has that signature friendly, comforting vibe,

then Aiden is basically the definition of a stoic but kind knight!

A tragic devoted-love villain and the Moon Hunter among the Five Sinners! (Voice Actor Kwon Seonghyeok)

Adwin, the Grand Duke of the North in Mabinogi Mobile, had me absolutely ugly crying when I recently pushed through the story!!

The voice actor behind Adwin—that devastating devoted-love villain who loved the former queen his whole life and would give even his soul for her—is none other thaaaan~~

Voice Actor Kwon Seonghyeok!

In Mabinogi Mobile, he gives Adwin that cold, weighty aura fitting for the Grand Duke of the North, and the immersion just hits instantly!!

And in Genshin, he played Rerir, the Moon Hunter, one of the Five Sinners!

Rerir is cold and weighty too, but he really gives off that hunter-like feel,

and it made me realize all over again that even when the tone feels similar, it can still come across sooo differently~

A great voice actor makes you remember the character!!

I didn't really pay much attention to voice actors when I played games before,

but these days, there are so many times I end up loving a character just because of their voiceㅎㅎ

Especially getting to hear voice actors I loved in Genshin again in Mabinogi Mobile, it made me weirdly happy.

I end up focusing on the story more,

and my affection for the characters grows even more too.

So for me, voices are their own kind of content in games.

Great acting makes characters feel truly alive!
