Our restaurant is open as usual.

After Season 0 exploded in popularity and Mabinogi Mobile moved into Season 1, another major update is now on the way.

Season 2: Light and Darkness.

And for that, Big Campfire has finally come back after a long break. Personally, I was very tuned in to see whether Longbowmen would finally get treated like actual people in Season 2, and whether Monks would at last receive basic human rights.

In the end, I’d say this Big Campfire delivered some pretty solid results.

Players who were beyond dried up in Season 1—straight-up suffering from content dehydration—needed something new, and on that front this Campfire did reveal enough to ease the thirst at least a little. New main story, new raid, new dungeon... all good stuff.

They also mentioned a new type of progression content. That includes Season Skills, which are essentially new passive skills, along with new overall damage-related stats like Arcane Pressure and Arcane Resistance, plus the server-wide progression system Soul Stream.

Basically, just think of it as new stats you can invest time into building up.

Labor, let’s go~

Convenience improvements are coming too. For example, the current setup where different content like Abyss, raids, and Black Hole all use separate loot currencies is being reworked, and purchases will instead use a single loot currency called “Monster Extermination Token.”

So they really didn’t forget about the players after all!!

Looks like they knew exactly what was missing.

On top of that, they teased updates that neatly scratch the itch for players currently in full rabbit-princess mode, including new runes, new enchants, and an expanded level cap.

Players who felt they’d already done everything there was to do in Season 1 and had been taking a break probably started eyeing a comeback while watching this Big Campfire.

Even guildmates who only logged in once a week started murmuring about it. That’s what I mean.

Big events are supposed to come with big rewards, and DevCAT clearly knew that.

To celebrate the massive Big Campfire showcase broadcast, they also revealed a coupon. It comes with a few modest goodies, including gold, which is always in short supply.

Feeling underwhelmed because it seemed a little small? Well, the real main event was somewhere else. Let’s look at the next one.

The real star is the On-Time Gift. As of right now, you get it just by logging into the game. And yes, it’s the kind of generous, big-hearted, restores-your-faith-in-humanity gift that even includes a Mythic Rune Selection Box.

With this many gifts waiting, plus updates like new class-specific runes on the way, Mabinogi Mobile Season 2: Light and Darkness is looking very return-worthy. You’re coming back, right?
