[PEAK Challenge] Derezier Raid Review: We defeated the boss, so why did my heart still feel so heavy?

Even after bringing the boss down, the first quest that left me with a lingering sense of discomfort, despite all my years with DNF, was the Dirige Raid.

Today, I want to talk a little about the Dirige Raid scenario, which still stays with me as one of the most distinctive quests in Dungeon&Fighter.

Taking part in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge

If you spend a long time with DNF, raid bosses start to feel like part of a routine. You memorize the mechanics, put the party together, take the boss down, collect the rewards, and that is the end of it. At first, I assumed Dirige would be no different. I knew the setting was that he hated adventurers deeply, but I have never really been the type to read every part of the story with great care, so I entered the raid thinking it would just be another case of beating him and moving on.

After defeating Dirige, though, the scenario moved in a very different direction from what I had expected. It did not end with a simple kill. Through the dialogue, it slowly unfolded why Dirige had come to hate adventurers so intensely, and where that feeling had first taken root. Watching the resentment he had carried for so long begin to ease, little by little, through his conversation with the adventurer was not the kind of scene I ever expected from a raid boss quest. The moment an enemy I had thought of as something to be beaten suddenly began to speak, my hand stopped.

Even after the clear screen appeared, I could not bring myself to close it right away. Usually, the moment I check the rewards window, a raid leaves my mind, but the Dirige Raid was different. What stayed with me for a while was a strange heaviness, the uneasy sense that I could not quite tell whether I had won or lost, the feeling that comes after you finally understand your enemy. Only after it was over did I really feel that this was not just another piece of repeat content, but the experience of seeing a story through to its end. Even if you are not especially interested in the DNF story, this is one quest I would still recommend reading properly at least once.

There are a lot of events going on, so I hope everyone gives it a try~~
