Today, I want to make a record of one quest in Mabinogi Mobile

that stayed with me.

Mabinogi Mobile has its main quests, and it also has many side quests.

Their stories come in all kinds of tones—funny, sad, surprising, spectacular, and chilling.

What goes unrecorded is bound to fade and be buried away.

So today, out of all those many quests, I want to write down one especially touching story.



Gathering Memories for a Friend



There is a red-haired girl named Sena. Since childhood, she and her close friend had promised

that they would open a secret box on a certain day, and that day is today.

Because Sena is busy working at a restaurant, she asks you to go meet her friend in her place.

He was her childhood friend, and also the boy she once liked.

That friend buried secret boxes in several places, and while playfully teasing Sena about where to meet,

he leaves her a series of riddles. As you solve them and follow the trail, the final meeting place turns out to be where her childhood friend’s

mother is waiting. She tells you that her son has gone on a journey.

She wanted to see him, of course, but believing they would meet again someday, Sena and her friend’s mother

look out over the lake, and the quest comes to an end.

In truth, her friend had always been frail and passed away young, and for Sena—who would be heartbroken—

his mother delivers a kind lie on his behalf.

He appears as a ghost to see Sena one last time, and when the time comes,

he leaves again. It’s a deeply moving quest.
