Today, I would like to share

two special quests in Mabinogi Mobile

that stirred emotions in me unlike anything else

I have felt before.

One is “Goodbye, Spotty!”

and the other is “The Special Inn”.

Why they have stayed with me for so long,

and why I hope other players as well

can experience these same feelings

and this quiet sense of emotion—

that is where I will begin.

The first special quest in Mabinogi Mobile,

Parting with someone dear always leaves longing behind

“Goodbye, Spotty!”

It is never easy to grow accustomed to goodbye.

When you log in to Mabinogi Mobile,

create your character, and begin your life in Erinn,

there is one friend who stays with you from the very start.

That friend is Spotty, a retired horse.
After all, getting around Erinn on two legs alone is no easy thing.
Spotty was a horse cared for at Tir Chonaill School for riding lessons,
and is said to have such a gentle nature
that even first-time riders can quickly grow comfortable,
thanks to the way Spotty matches their pace.

As I continued my life in Erinn,
I came to have horses that were younger and faster than Spotty.

They were stronger too, so they could carry more weight.
And little by little, Spotty simply remained by my side.
Now, though, the time for true retirement has finally come.

In games, partings happen all the time.

We replace the weapons and gear we once used,
and we change the clothes we wear just as often.
Even our horses change.

That is why, even though I was not someone who checked my inventory all that carefully,

it still felt strange to send off Spotty—someone I had always assumed would simply be there—
into true retirement at last.

Even if it is only a game, even if it is only a story,
it really did feel like saying goodbye to an old friend.
I think sharing someone’s very beginning with them
leaves behind emotions that last for a long time.

Even when we know how the story goes, even when we think we have prepared ourselves,
there are feelings that still find their way quietly into the heart.
Through Mabinogi Mobile’s own distinct sensibility and direction,
I hope you will let yourself become fully immersed in this story.

Parting may leave behind emptiness and sadness,
but it may also offer another kind of healing—a new beginning, and a moment of rest.

Luck shines brightest when it goes unnoticed

“Dreaming Inn”

Dreaming Inn is an escape-room game within Mabinogi Mobile.
It is a story that unfolds within another story.
You observe, you talk, and you solve riddles as you move forward.
At times, intuition
reveals the answer,
at times, humor,
and at times, careful observation does.

The escape-room style presentation and
progression of Dreaming Inn are thoroughly enjoyable,
but its story lingers in the heart as well.

In particular, the toad’s words—that luck shines brightest when it goes unnoticed—
left a deep impression on me.
The fairy who continues to treasure a small piece of luck
with gratitude toward Flora,
the inn guests who protect that secret,
and I, who came to play a part in guarding it as well—
because the story unfolds through my own point of view,
it drew me in even more deeply.

Quite apart from all of that, though,
the blessing that says from now on,
once I lie down in bed,
I will fall fast asleep before I can even count to five,
is one I would dearly love to receive in real life.

What story has ever made you feel something outside the ordinary?
