When people think of MMORPG quests, they usually imagine straightforward errands like defeating monsters or collecting items.
Mabinogi Mobile, however, also has a number of quests that break away from that familiar formula.
Of those, I want to highlight the three that left the strongest impression on me.
1. Dagda’s Tomb

Dagda’s Tomb was a hidden quest that did not appear on the quest list from the beginning.
Even the way it starts feels different from a standard quest, since you have to personally discover a clue tucked away in one corner of the map.
The quest plays out like a treasure hunt, following notes left behind by the old adventurer Dagda.
As you trace the clues, you eventually uncover the entrance to a hidden dungeon, and that dungeon is what stands out most.
It is memorable because it is not a typical combat dungeon, but one built around solving puzzles as you move forward.

The part I remember most was the process of locating the hidden dungeon entrance.
You have to follow the path Dagda left behind exactly, and if you try to take a shortcut,
a gimmick sends you back to the starting point before you even realize it.
That made it genuinely feel like I was an explorer tracking down a real secret.

What felt especially fresh was that, in a game where auto-play is available, this was a puzzle dungeon that could not be cleared automatically.
The cute Ratman Suit you can get as a reward is also a big draw.
On top of that, the color is assigned at random, which adds a small extra thrill when you get the one you wanted.
2. Dagda’s Twisted Ruins

For players who remembered Dagda’s Tomb fondly, this quest felt like a welcome update.
That quest is Dagda’s Twisted Ruins.

It begins with a beetle fairy in the forest guiding the way, as you gather various clues and search for a hidden ruin.
Inside the ruin, the puzzle revolves around manipulating platforms so that a beetle golem can reach its destination.

More than anything, what impressed me about this quest was that it was a two-person cooperative puzzle.
It was ideal for me because it did not require a large group, which matters when you do not have many in-game friends,
and because clearing it depends on both players matching each other’s timing and roles even without speaking, the cooperative aspect was genuinely enjoyable.

The moment I remember most was the final race event.
If the path is blocked, the player’s beetle golem obediently returns to the starting point,
but the pigs the goblins ride just charge straight through as if to say, “No one saw that, right?” It was so shameless that I had to laugh.

The “Fantasy Partner” motion you can earn as a reward is also very cute,
so if you enjoy social elements, I think this is a quest well worth trying at least once.
3. The Dreaming Inn

If I had to choose just one as the most unusual quest, I would probably pick The Dreaming Inn.

This quest begins when you help Flora at the Dunbarton inn and end up taking over the inn’s work in her place.
You handle requests from the guests, investigate different parts of the inn, and eventually make your way down to the basement,
and I found the way it gradually brings you closer to the inn’s “secret” especially interesting.
I recommend seeing the ending for yourself ㅎ...

What made The Dreaming Inn special was that it was Mabinogi Mobile’s first escape-room-style quest.
Having to read and interpret NPC dialogue and clues carefully made it feel very close to a real escape room.

Another interesting detail is that the inn basement had already been added about a week before the quest itself began.
At the time, no one really knew why that space was there, so it was impressive to see it later used as the key location in the quest.
If you enjoy escape-room games or deduction-based elements, this is definitely a quest I would recommend experiencing at least once.
Closing Thoughts

All three quests share the same focus: “exploration and puzzles” rather than “combat.”
For players accustomed to auto-play, they offered the distinct pleasure of thinking and moving for yourself,
and that is probably why they have stayed with me for so long.
If Mabinogi Mobile continues to introduce distinctive quests like these,
it could remain beloved not simply as a game about leveling up, but as a game where you experience new stories.
That is what I hope.
