[Joining the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge] 

Hey everyone.

This is Mapo Fries.

Today I’m going over MapleStory’s summer minigame event,

Specter Blast, with a quick guide and the EXP efficiency.

This guy.. can take a while if you go in without checking a guide..

So make sure you read this first.

If a guide gets too long, it just gets harder to follow,

so I’ll keep it short in plain text!! Just the key points and we move.

Keira is basically handling all the mechanics here, so if you’re on DPS, be thankful to your support.

Level 1~3: Keira farms on the 2nd floor, Gaon farms on the 1st floor

Level 3: Keira moves to the 1st floor and uses Vortex so you can farm together

Level 5: Move to the upper map, and have Keira group mobs on the 2nd floor with Vortex

Level 8: Kill the first room boss, and Gaon just keeps pumping damage

Keira needs to stop the mechanics

Arm gather (shield) - stop it with Bind

Aura release (knockback) - use an iframe to avoid DPS loss

After killing the boss, move to the lower room

Level 10: Keira groups mobs on the 3rd floor (right above the spawn floor) with Vortex, and clears the debuff over your head now and then

Level 13: Kill the second boss, and Gaon just keeps pumping damage

Keira needs to handle the mechanics

Swirl above head (debuff) - if the debuff lands, remove the status effect

Spike explosion (knockback) - use Bind or an iframe to avoid DPS loss

After killing the boss, move to the room on the right

Level 16: Keira groups mobs on the 2nd floor (the monster spawn floor) with Vortex

Level 18: Kill the third boss, and this one needs good timing between DPS and support

The boss gives a tell, then attacks (instakill) - Keira uses an iframe, and if it works, the boss goes into a groggy state

While the boss is groggy, Keira uses the buff (Blessing of Ishpira)

While buffed, Gaon has to attack with High Tide - Enhanced Spear for the boss to actually lose HP, and after 2 hits the boss dies

Level 20: Kill the final boss, and Gaon just keeps pumping damage

If you get debuffed, remove the status effect

Outer hand attack (knockback) - use an iframe to avoid DPS loss

Inner hand charging up (shield) - stop the mechanic with Bind

Instakill move, it lifts its body to ready the attack - after the outer hand ripples 6 times, use an iframe

It might look hard because there’s a lot of text,

but if you keep this open on the side, it’s easy to follow.

EXP-wise, the reward is about equal to 3,000 Advanced EXP Coupons.
