[This post is participating in the Nexon PEAK Post Challenge].
The Ultimate Villain Competition has officially begun.
Starting today, we’ll be unveiling the candidates over the next 3 days.
Our first candidate is the Blacksmith and Weapon Shop Alliance (hereafter, the BWSA).
Allow us to introduce the 5 individuals in question, along with their representative.
Cooperation between the blacksmiths and weapon shops within the BWSA
has been drawing suspicion for quite some time.
BWSA members insist that nothing of the sort is going on,
but given that they offer the exact same services,
we’d like to lay out the grounds for suspicion.
Aidan
Representative of the BWSA / Owner of the blacksmith in Bangor, the town of minerals / A veteran who raised disciples such as Ferghus and Armis
Aidan is a veteran smith who runs the blacksmith in Bangor.
For that reason, he rose to become the representative of the Blacksmith and Weapon Shop Alliance.
However, it has come to light that despite being the most seasoned and accomplished of the bunch, when it comes to enhancement services, his odds are no different from those of his disciples Ferghus and Armis—or even Nerys and Osla, who run weapon shops.

Ferghus
Owner of the blacksmith in Tir Chonaill, famous for saying, “Whoops, my hand slipped.”
Ferghus runs a blacksmith in Tir Chonaill.
His slippery hands are already the stuff of rumor, and his muttered “my hand slipped” during jobs is so well known that most adventurers hand over their gear with at least a little dread. Even so, we have caught Ferghus promoting himself as being on par with his master Aidan when it comes to enhancement. That has now been logged as evidence of BWSA enhancement-rate manipulation.

Armis
A blacksmith in Colhen, home of mercenaries, and a skilled craftswoman capable of repairing even Giant swords
Armis is a blacksmith who runs a forge in the town of mercenaries. She is known to be so skilled that even rough-tempered mercenaries can’t find room to complain. And yet, it has been revealed that her enhancement work operates at a level similar to that of her master Aidan. That leaves only two possibilities: either Aidan’s skills fall well short of his reputation, or Armis has become exceptionally good to match the demands of Colhen. According to officials involved with the Ultimate Villain Competition, considering that she can even repair Giant weapons and regularly takes charge of mercenaries’ gear, finishing the work on time, suspicion is once again impossible to avoid.

Nerys
Owner of a weapon shop in the commercial hub city said to have everything but the impossible, and close with the healer Manus.
Nerys runs a weapon shop in the commercial city of Dunbarton. It’s not a blacksmith, but like one, it offers repairs and equipment enhancement as well. She has a very cheerful personality, and thanks to her refreshingly direct way of speaking and acting, she’s not the type to make many enemies. On top of that, because she runs a weapon shop rather than a blacksmith, she wasn’t initially treated as suspicious. However, once various testimonies from adventurers who used Weapon Shop Nerys for enhancement were gathered, the reported success rates turned out to be no different from those of the three blacksmith-side figures: Aidan, Ferghus, and Armis. Before settling in Dunbarton, she worked as an adventurer, and she is known to be friends with Manus, who works as a healer in Dunbarton, and Osla, who runs a weapon shop in Emain Macha.

Osla
Owner of the weapon shop in beautiful Emain Macha, rumored to often get lost with a vacant look on her face.
Osla runs a weapon shop in the royal city of Emain Macha. She is known to be friends with Nerys, who settled in Dunbarton and now runs a weapon shop there, and apparently she even went on a blind date recently. She is also said to enjoy scary stories and to take part in related gatherings. According to those around her, despite her usual absent-minded expression and frequent clumsy moments, her repair success rate is 100%, and she has never made a mistake. However, just like the other members of the BWSA, when it comes to enhancement, Osla operates on the very same odds.

That concludes our introduction to the BWSA, one of the candidates in the Mabinogi Mobile Ultimate Villain Competition. The BWSA’s representative is Bangor’s master craftsman Aidan. According to Aidan himself, it is deeply unfair that people like them—who serve Erinn by crafting, repairing, and enhancing all manner of equipment and tools—should be nominated as candidates in the Mabinogi Mobile Ultimate Villain Competition.
However, adventurers across Erinn have their own grievances, claiming they entrusted this group with enhancements only to be robbed of their Gold and Rune Fragments. For that reason, they were selected as our first candidate. In the next installment of the Ultimate Villain Competition, we’ll introduce candidate number two.
The Mabinogi Mobile Ultimate Villain Competition will run for a total of 3 parts, with first place to be revealed in the final Part 3. We hope you’ll stay tuned.
Until then, wishing happiness to everyone reading this today!
