Mabinogi Mobile runs on a seasonal structure, and every season sends you right back to square one when it comes to gear, forcing everyone to build everything up again from the ground floor. In other words, the starting line gets reset to something fairly similar for everyone.

Better yet, the story skip feature keeps improving with each season, so if you just blitz through the story, pretty much anyone can end up standing more or less at that same starting line. In an RPG, where falling behind on gear is exactly the kind of thing that kills your motivation to play, that’s a seriously big advantage.

Season 2 returns on June 24, and when everything resets back to nothing again... isn’t that basically the perfect time to come back?

Now then, following up on the previous post,

if you’ve already found people to play Mabinogi Mobile with, the next question is obvious: which class should you choose?

To break Mabinogi Mobile’s classes down simply,

Tank: Sword & Shield, Freezing, Knight

Heal: Healer, Priest, Monk

Bard: Bard

Ranged DPS: Mage, Lightning Caster, Flame Caster

Melee DPS: basically everything else

As for some of the more distinctive classes,

First, Freezing is just beautiful. Even among the tank classes, its weapons and skill effects are so gorgeous that it really stands out. As a Monk main, I’m always a little jealous of Freezing’s emblem.

Dark Caster

Oddly enough, it’s always low on HP.

Bard

It’s fun. That guilty pleasure of smacking monsters around with an instrument...

Dancer, Dual Blade, Archer

They spin and zip around everywhere, and it’s honestly adorable.

Monk

Auto-play is incredible. Ever since the new rune was added recently, auto has actually been doing better damage than manual play, and at this point I’ve fully become an auto Monk.

At the end of the day, you should pick whatever fits your style, but if you don’t have someone to bus you through content, I’d recommend Monk or a tank.
