Hello, I'm Edgar.

Playing a game you love by yourself is fun too,

but games really become even more enjoyable when you play with friends,

and those moments tend to stay with you for a long time.

That feels especially true in competitive games.

Winning by yourself feels good, of course,

but the games where you laugh, talk, and play together with a friend are the ones you remember for years.

Back when I was in middle school and high school,

the soccer game everyone was into was Winning Eleven.

I think it's still around, but it's been over 20 years since I last played it.

The game that took its place for me was Nexon's FC Online (formerly FIFA Online).

FC Online is plenty fun even when you're playing ranked matches on your own,

but it's the kind of game that becomes twice as fun when you're with friends.

The best part is that "soccer" is such an easy theme to get into.

Even friends who aren't really into games

can jump right in with you, shouting things like

"Pass it." "Shoot." "Defense, defense."

With RPGs, if there's a big gap in levels or gear,

it's often hard to play together.

For a while, whenever we went to a PC bang, FC Online was the first game my friends and I opened.

We'd each show off our teams and players,

"This player feels incredible in-game."

"This season card gives you great value for the price."

We'd talk about things like that and end up debating the game,

but the best part was when we played with a small wager on the line.

It isn't just about playing matches.

I think that's part of FC Online's charm—the fun of building your own squad and showing it off.

Even if everyone is working with the same budget, the teams and players they choose can be completely different,

so friends always end up with plenty to talk about while looking over each other's squads.

Ranked matches come with a lot of pressure over wins and losses,

but friendlies with friends are perfect when you just want to relax and have fun.

And when a friend makes a ridiculous mistake, it can turn into a joke you keep bringing up for a long time.

Using the goalkeeper in a weird way, missing an open net, making a completely terrible pass, and so on.

FC Online is full of stories like that.

Sometimes it even turned into a battle of pride and we argued, but even that became part of the memories.

And it's not just with real-life friends—I also have plenty to talk about with friends I met online.

Recommending good value team colors, teams, and players to each other and sharing our experiences is fun too.

When you log in after a long break, the players and market prices have changed, so there's a lot to catch up on.

I think it's even more enjoyable if you split up what to look into with a friend, share what you find, and play together.

FC Online has a lot of content that includes probability-based items,

but I think it's even more enjoyable if you spend reasonably and don't overdo it.

Whether it's a friend who knows soccer well and loves it,

or a friend who isn't very interested and doesn't really follow real soccer,

FC Online is the kind of soccer game you can quickly start enjoying together with a laugh.

If you're looking for a game to make memories with friends,

I'd recommend giving it a try at least once.

Much later, when you look back on that time, it'll turn into a really happy memory. It did for me.
