MapleStory Showcase OVERDRIVE Event, Plus News on the New Character Lete
재파민

Hello to everyone who loves Nexon games,
this is Jaepamin!

Hello, this is game blogger Jaepamin. Today, I’ll be summarizing the MapleStory Showcase Overdrive event and news about the new class, Lete. The long-awaited summer showcase livestream finally aired today.

The livestream drew a huge amount of attention, pulling in over 70,000 viewers. I’ve put together a quick and clear summary of what was revealed, so I hope this helps a lot of you out. Let’s jump right in.
New Class Lete Update

The first big reveal was the addition of the new class, Lete, Master of Oaths. Along with Demon Avenger and Demon Slayer, she belongs to the demon race class lineup, and her beautiful female character illustration definitely stands out. With Lete being added, I thought maybe the older classes Demon Avenger and Demon Slayer might finally get remade too, but unfortunately there was no remake-related announcement.

Just based on the brief footage shown at the showcase, the class looks insanely strong—honestly, you could almost call it a darker version of Luminous. It really gives off that top-tier vibe, like Black Mage-style wide-area attacks plus every kind of projectile skill packed in. We’ll have to see how it actually feels on the test server, though.

The rewards look like the usual solid lineup. A lot of useful items are set to be handed out, including Unique Potential, Black Rebirth Flames, boosters, and EXP coupons, so keep that in mind. It also looks like things like chairs and titles will be given out once you hit certain level milestones.
New 3rd Core Skills Added

Along with the new class, new 3rd Core Skills are also being added. Boss content looks like it’ll become both easier and more fun going forward. The more new skills get added, the more you can compress your damage, and that’s always pretty satisfying.
New Boss Bellona

Also, the new boss, Bellona, was revealed as well. She appears with the concept of being an Apostle of Zern Darmoor, and characters level 280 or higher can challenge her. Easy Bellona is set at a difficulty between Easy Kaling and Normal Kalos, so it actually seems pretty manageable. I’m currently clearing up to Normal Kalos myself, and at that level, she feels like a boss I could realistically add to my weekly rotation.

Defeating Bellona will drop the Radiant Boss Accessory and the Starving Crimson Wraith. Since it goes in the face accessory slot, it seems like a pretty nice item to use for anvil fashion. With the 6-set buff adding 7.5% Critical Damage and 20 Attack/Magic Attack, it looks like this one will mainly be used by very high-spec players.
Convenience Patches

On top of that, the convenience updates you pretty much expect from every MapleStory showcase were revealed too. This time, there are so many great quality-of-life changes that you can really tell they put serious thought into things from the players’ perspective. Boss HP is being reduced by 33%, Union raider improvements and skill automation are coming, Magnet Pets will be shareable across the world, the Auction House is getting revamped, and several features that used to feel just a little inconvenient are being made much smoother overall.
Most importantly, the Burning Beyond level has been increased to 180, and characters from level 200 to 260 will get an extra 5000% EXP, making it much easier to speed straight toward 6th job advancement. No wonder people keep saying Shin Changseop, Shin Changseop.
That wraps up my look at the MapleStory Showcase Overdrive event and news about the new class Lete. After seeing this update, I honestly came away feeling like MapleStory is going to stay really fun moving forward. Since the new class is coming out as soon as next week, I should probably hurry and get a class-related post ready.
