In most MMORPGs, mounts are essential for getting around huge maps quickly.

But in MapleStory, where fast-travel systems like the Guide are already so convenient, they serve a slightly different role.

In Maple, riding is less about transportation and more of an item that shows off your personality.

Today, I’m sharing 7 mounts that I personally love.

1. The Demon class mount: 'Devil Wings'

First up is Devil Wings, the exclusive mount for the Demon class line.

Once activated, huge deep-purple bat wings spread dramatically behind your character.

True to its name, it has a stylish look full of demonic charm.

It may not be capable of high-altitude flight,

but the slight hovering motion alone looks so cool that I can’t help but love it.

2. Quirky and charming, 'Poison-Spraying Homunscullo'

This mount lets you ride a Homunscullo directly, one of the monsters you hunted at the Magatia Lab.

The details are great too, with green poison mist billowing out around it.

On top of that, it can even fly at high altitude. Cute in its own odd way, right?

3. A nostalgic airship, 'Ludibrium Attraction'

This summons the nostalgic airship you used to take from Orbis to Ludibrium back in the day.

Its cute design really stands out, looking like a colorful mix of a toy train and an airplane.

This mount can also fly at high altitude.

It brings back childhood memories, and somehow leaves me feeling soft and sentimental :)

4. A dependable bodyguard(?) 'With Saitama'

This is a mount I got during the One Punch Man collaboration event.

It features the invincible hero Saitama casually carrying my character around by the scruff of the neck.

It may not be able to fly, but when moving on the ground, Saitama keeps that trademark blank expression

while scurrying along at full speed, and the whole animation is both adorable and hilarious.

5. A luminous mount! 'Fantasy Drift'

I’m a little fuzzy on where I got this one, but the design itself is absolutely beautiful.

When you ride it, a sparkling blue aura forms around your character in a circle, and they float slightly into the air.

Its standout feature is the mysterious effect, as if starlight is pouring down around you.

It’s especially handy for taking screenshots against a night-sky background when you’re dressed in a pretty outfit 😆

6. My number-one pick, 'Chubby Orange Mushroom'

This is the mount I’m most attached to—my absolute favorite.

Your character slips right inside the soft-looking Orange Mushroom cap, with only their face peeking out.

The plump Orange Mushroom paired with the character’s tiny, adorable look is just unbelievably cute.

7. A Black Heaven monster turned into a mount! 'Crusher’

Last up is the massive Crusher mount I received after completing the Black Heaven questline.

You can’t get it anymore, but whenever I see this mount, I’m reminded of spending 4 hours going through the Black Heaven story.

I also remember being chased by this Crusher—though I’m not sure how many of you remember that too.

Taking it back out of my inventory and riding it again after so long feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new ㅎㅎ

So that was a look at some of MapleStory’s mounts, each with its own distinct charm.

It’s such a nice system, especially since it adds a small but satisfying collecting element too.
