Hello, this is GameSky.

Today, we’re taking a look at Maple Planet again after a while. Ever since the Cygnus Knights were released, it’s continued to stay consistently popular. Flame Wizard is a class known for strong mobbing and excellent mobility. That also means low potion costs, which is always nice. So yes, mages are low-key kind of broken. Anyway, this time we’ll be going over the Cygnus Knight Flame Wizard skill build.

Let’s get started.

1st Job Skills

Magic Claw 1 -> Max MP Increase MAX -> Magic Claw MAX -> Flame MAX -> Magic Guard or Magic Armor MAX

The 1st job build is very similar to the Explorer Mage route. Put 1 point into Magic Claw first, then max the passive skill Max MP Increase. Of course, if you want to be as efficient as possible or you value passives that highly, you can also max Max MP Increase first. The drawback is that, for a while, your only attacking option will be Snail Shell Toss. So the standard route is a perfectly solid choice too. As for Magic Guard and Magic Armor, just pick based on preference.

2nd Job Skills

Fire Pillar 1 -> Teleport 1 -> Fire Pillar MAX -> Magic Booster 11 -> Meditation M -> Magic Booster MAX -> Elemental Reset MAX -> Slow MAX -> Fire Arrow 1

Starting in 2nd job, you get as many as three booster-type skills. Fire Pillar is heavily specialized for mobbing, so this one is absolutely essential. It’s extremely good for training, which means it should be maxed no matter what. To be honest, Fire Arrow isn’t all that necessary. You could even argue that Magic Claw is better. Once you’ve invested in both Fire Pillar and Teleport, you can move on to filling out most of your buff skills.

Originally, 2nd job had passive skills called Spell Mastery and High Wisdom, but those skills don’t exist in Maple Planet. If they did, I’d probably put 1 point into Fire Pillar first, then invest in those two before anything else.

3rd Job Skills

Capture_2026_0609_110627Capture_2026_0609_110634

Fire Strike 1 -> Flame Gear MAX -> Fire Strike MAX -> Meteor MAX -> Ifrit MAX -> Element Amplification MAX -> Distribute Freely

From 3rd job onward, you’ll mainly focus on attack skills. Element Amplification boosts your offensive magic, but it also raises MP consumption, so it comes with a noticeable tradeoff. Because of that, people usually choose between Amplification and Seal. Since Flame Wizard really starts leaning into offense from 3rd job, your top priority should be your attacking skills.

Wrapping Up

Today, we went over the Maple Planet Flame Wizard skill build. With its wide-area attacks, low potion burden, and excellent mobility, it’s one of the easier classes for beginners to level comfortably. If you’re planning to play a Cygnus Knight, I’d highly recommend it.
