MapleStory Character Recommendations: Best Classes to Level and Main!
재파민

Hello to everyone who loves Nexon games,
this is Jaepamin!

MapleStory has gotten much easier to level these days, and even then, some classes stand out as easier to raise, more fun to play, and stronger overall. I’ve picked out the ones that are especially good for 메린이 and returning players, so hopefully this gives you a solid reference point.
Lynn

The first class on this Maple job recommendation list, and my top overall pick, is Lynn. She released with absurd performance, to the point where she feels like she slaps pre-nerf Adele a hundred million times over, and she’s now widely seen as a must-raise class for Hyper Burning. She’s also holding a dominant No. 1 spot in the level 280 class distribution chart.
She’s great at stationary mobbing, and even bossing is basically over with a single 딸깍 instead of some complicated combo rotation, which makes her a very strong 본캐 option. More than anything, her skill effects are flashy and her mobility is excellent, so she’s one of the few classes that really gives you both fun and performance.
2. Bowmaster

The second pick is Bowmaster. A lot of players choose it because mobbing, bossing, and overall controls are all very easy to handle. In the current meta, archer value has dropped off quite a bit, but Bowmaster still sits in the upper tier. That alone tells you plenty.
That said, if there’s one concern, it’s that the class’s skill kit feels fairly passive.
Because of that, it can come off as dull or repetitive depending on your preferences. If you like more spectacular, high-impact classes, I’d recommend raising it as a sub character instead. There’s even a saying that it’s too boring as a main, but incredibly comfortable as a sub.
Kinesis

As an extra recommendation, Kinesis, which recently got a full refresh through its remaster, is also being rated very well right now. In theory, it can keep dealing damage while staying invincible for over 30 seconds, which makes boss content much easier to enjoy.
One of my friends mains Kinesis, and they cruised all the way to Liberation pretty smoothly. If you like mage-type characters, it’s definitely one to consider alongside Ice/Lightning Arch Mage.
4. Ice/Lightning Arch Mage

The last class on the list is Ice/Lightning Arch Mage. It’s a mage class that has been consistently loved by a lot of players, so it has the kind of name recognition that barely needs an explanation.
It delivers solid performance in both mobbing and bossing, so it’s an easy class to raise without worrying too much about extreme likes or dislikes. The skill kit is simple too, so it’s easy to play. Unless you’re someone like me who finds teleport skills awkward, it’s a great class to raise as a Hyper Burning character.

That wraps up this MapleStory class recommendation list. Which class type do you prefer, and which character are you thinking of raising next? Thanks for reading!
